Short Stacks Collide

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Thomas Femows jammed for about 20,000 with {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} from early position before Kyösti Isberg three-bet jammed for a little more with {a-Spades}{6-Hearts} from middle position.

Peeter [Removed:314] had both players covered with a near starting stack and called with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} from the big blind.

[Removed:314] was ahead before the flop and improved to a full house before all was said and done with the {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} running out on the board to eliminate two of his opponents.

Sootla Coolers Salumaa

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ranno Sootla
Ranno Sootla

Slim Salumaa jammed for about 24,000 from middle position with {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} before Ranno Sootla three-bet jammed over the top from the buton with {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Salumaa was ahead in the hand but started packing his things as soon as Sootla rejammed. He must have known he would be drawing dead after the {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Spades} came on the flop with Sootla holding a nut-flush.

Sootla officially won the hand after the {6-Spades} came on the turn followed by the {j-Hearts} on the river.

Another 50 entrants have joined the mix so far during the first blind level to grow the total field size to 674 entrants. The big question now is will the Main Event surpass 700 entrants

Strid Doubles Off Vakkuri

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Niklas Vakkuri reentered after his elimination moments ago. He isn't off to the best start with his next bullet.

Aleksi Strid jammed for about 17,000 with {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} from the button and was called by Vakkuri with {a-Spades}{3-Spades} from the big blind.

The {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} ran out on the board and Strid doubled up his short stack.

Wahl and Ulset Hit the Rail

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Sebastian Wahl
Sebastian Wahl

Sebastian Wahl, who won the inaugural Coolbet Open Main Event in May 2018, jammed {a-}{j-} from late position for about 20,000. Ruben Ulset rejammed for slightly more with {q-}{j-} before Nikolajs Zalunins called them both with {k-}{k-}.

The cowboys held strong and Zalunins won the hand. Both Wahl and Ulset still have the option to reenter.

Wahl Doubles Kacerauskas

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Vytautas Kacerauskas
Vytautas Kacerauskas

Sebastian Wahl jammed from the small blind with {q-}{10-} more than covering the 25,000 or so that Vytautas Kacerauskas had in his stack in the big blind. Kacerauskas made the call and turned over {6-}{6-}.

The board ran all blanks for Wahl and Kacerauskas doubled up.

Jawoski Felts Vakkuri

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Marcen Jawoski called a three-bet jam from Niklas Vakkuri of around 38,000 in chips.

The race was on with Jawoski holding {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Vakkui holding {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Jawoski took a huge edge in the hand after he paired the {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Neither the {7-Hearts} on the turn nor the {5-Clubs} on the river was able to save Vakkuri and he left the table to either reenter or call it an end to his Main Event.

Kyte Eliminates [Removed:314]

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Jon Kyte fired his seventh bullet this tournament to start Day 2. So far so good for the Norwegian.

Peeter [Removed:314] jammed for about 18,000 from the cutoff with {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Kyte called with {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

The {q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop was a good one for [Removed:314] as was the {2-Clubs} on the turn. However, the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river to give Kyte a broadway straight and sent [Removed:314] to the rail. [Removed:314] can still reenter up until the start of the next blind level.

"Good play," said table-mate Trine-Lise Lundegard.
