Lehtinen Gets Lucky with Treys

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joel Lehtinen three-bet jammed for more than 37,000 in chips with {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and was called by Vallo Maidla with {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Maidla was well ahead preflop and after the {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {9-Diamonds} turn. However, the {3-Diamonds} spiked the board on the river to give Lehtinen a set and a double up.

Jon Kyte

Jon Kyte was noticed exiting the tournament area. He shared with PokerNews that he three-bet jammed for about eight big blinds with {a-}{8-} and lost a flip after Trine-Lise Lundegard, who originally opened from under the gun, called with {7-}{7-}.

The board ran all blanks for Kyte and unfortunately for the Norwegian his Main Event is over.

Niklas Gjersuold
Niklas Gjersuold

Niklas Gjersuold three-bet jammed from the button for less than ten big blinds with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} and was called by Jari Kakkainen with {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Kakkainen took a strong advantage in the hand after he paired the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop. The {j-Clubs} on the turn gave Gjersuold more outs but none of them were to come with the {7-Spades} completing the board on the river.

Sandvik Doubles

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Espen Sandvik
Espen Sandvik

Masse Mirza jammed from the cutoff for about 16 big blinds with {a-Spades}{9-Spades} before WSOP Europe bracelet winner Espen Sandvik called off his 11 big blind stack from the small blind with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The {10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} flop opened up some outs for Mirza to win the hand or chop but he doubled up his opponent after neither the {4-Hearts} on the turn nor the {q-Clubs} on the river were of any good.
