Juutilainen Wins the Race

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Henri Juutilainen opened for 7,500 before Steven Hjernvang jammed for 60,500. Juutilainen, who had about 80,000 total to start the hand, went into the tank before he made the call.

Steven Hjernvang: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Henri Juutilainen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades} double-paired board didn't connect with Hjernvang and Juutilainen won the race in the hand.

Kekalainen Wins a Massive Pot

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Jonas Gustafsson opened from the cutoff before Markus Jappinen jammed for about 55,000 from the button. Pyry Kekalainen flat-called from the big blind and Gustafsson also came along to see the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop.

Kekalainen bet 35,000 and after Gustafsson folded the remaining two players turned over their cards.

Pyry Kekalainen: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Markus Jappinen: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Kekalainen flopped the goods with top set and his opponent was drawing dead after the {9-Spades} came on the turn. And the entire table gasped after a {q-Spades} came on the river to give Jappinen a lower set.

Niitav Eliminates Wasenius

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Marko Niitav opened for 5,500 from under the gun and the player next to him flat-called. Ole Johan Wasenius three-bet jammed to 51,100 from middle position. Niitav called and the other player folded.

Ole Johan Wasenius: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Marko Niiatav: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Wasenius was slightly ahead before the flop but fell very behind after his opponent paired the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop. No relief was on its way with the {10-Diamonds} coming on the turn and the {2-Clubs} completing the board on the river and Wasenius was eliminated.

Patient Saviaho Staying Alive

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Jari Saviaho lasted two orbits after being down to about 3,000 in chips. He got his one big blind in from early position with {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} before Kristian Zitting rejammed with {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for about 15 big blinds.

The {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board was a safe one for Saviaho and thus far his patience has paid off.
