Asgeir Lund raised to 35,000 in the cutoff. When Ruben Elden three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind, Lund quickly moved all in. Elden soon called off his stack of 200,000, and the cards were tabled.
Ruben Elden: A♠K♠
Asgeir Lund: 7♠7♥
Lund flopped Elden near-dead as 7♦6♦3♣ upgraded him to a set. The A♥ turn sealed the deal, and Elden wished the table good luck as the 4♥ river completed the board.

It folded to Kaarel Vohandu in the small blind, who ripped his 235,000 chips in the middle. Monica Vaka was the big blind, and she counted out a call before committing it to the middle.
Kaarel Vohandu: K♠7♠
Monica Vaka: Q♠J♣
Vohandu was slightly ahead, but the deck favored Vaka as she paired up on the 4♣Q♦9♥ flop. The 7♥ turn brought Vohandu extra outs, but the 3♣ river could not save him.
Vohandu said his goodbyes, seeing his chips being shipped to Vaka. Meanwhile, Paul Solovjev was also seated at this table and had become the second player in the tournament to cross the one-million mark.

Kris Maiberg opened his button to 20,000. Torgeir Ravlo then moved in for 230,000 in the big blind, and Maiberg quickly called.
Torgeir Ravlo: 3♥3♣
Kris Maiberg: A♠10♠
Ravlo's pair held on the 8♣9♠4♦K♦4♥ runout to double up. Maiberg was left with 20,000, which he would lose not much later to be eliminated.
At another table, Anthony Lesoismier-Geniaux bit the dust to leave 26 players in contention.

Esa Turpeinen raised to 30,000 as first to act. Fredrik Kaarvall bumped it up to 90,000. Kristjan Maasalu then tossed in 30,000, not having seen Kaarvall's three-bet. Once he was notified, he called the 60,000 extra chips, as did Turpeinen.
The trio checked through the J♥10♥10♦ flop and K♥ turn. The Q♠ river was also checked to Kaarvall, who bet 50,000. Maasalu raised to 225,000, however, folding out Turpeinen.
Kaarvall gave it some thought but ultimately laid his hand down as well, shipping to pot to Maasalu without showdown.

Shortly after Haukur Bodvarsson had departed the Main Event, Andre Sorm pushed in his stack of 200,000 on the button. Torsti Kettula called in the big blind, putting Sorm at risk.
Andre Sorm: K♥J♦
Torsti Kettula: J♠J♣
Sorm was dominated and needed a king to survive. The 3♦Q♥6♥3♠6♣ board brought him none, however, resulting in his exit in 25th place.
Play was immediately halted, and the floor announced that the remaining 24 players would bag up for the night, returning Saturday, August 16, at noon local time to finish the rest of the tournament.
Stay tuned for full chip counts and a recap of the second day.

After an eventful Day 2 of the 2025 Coolbet Open €550 Main Event, only 24 players remain out of the 493 total entries. They will come back to the Chesterfield Poker Club for Day 3 on Saturday, August 16, to play out the rest of the tournament, battling for the majority of the €234,175 prize pool.
Leading the field at the end of the night was Norwegian player Asgeir Lund. Lund became the first chip millionaire before the money had been reached, and continued that momentum to end up with 2,230,000, nearly 150 big blinds. If Lund continues his hot streak and walks away with the €48,400 first-place prize, he would double his total career earnings as per The Hendon Mob.
The two other players who ended with seven-figure stacks when Day 2 concluded were hometown players Kristjan Maasalu and Artur Kulanurk. The last lady standing in the field, Monica Vaka secured another top ten finish as well, placing ninth with a bag filled with 660,000 chips.

Meanwhile, Iceland's last hope is Runar Runarsson, who bagged 330,000 at the end of the night. Start-of-day chipleader Edd-Christian Gerhardsen also maneuvered through Day 2, ending with the same stack as Runnarsson after notably skipping the first three levels of the day.
Late registration was still open for the first level of the day, and no fewer than 71 entries were made during that period. Icelandic regular Steinn Karlsson and poker streamer Ylva "Jevakim" Thorsrud were among the early exits of the day, while defending champion Anders Bjorkheim could not book a repeat success, busting some ways before the money as well.
Day 1b chipleader Teppo Kurvinen knew a rough day and also finished outside of the 62 paid places, as did Scott "Pokerbrahs" Kenyon. Eventually, number eight on Sweden's all-time money list Johan Storakers was the last player to leave empty-handed, bubbling against Estonian bracelet winner Ranno Sootla.
Sootla would eventually finish in 29th for €1,275, shortly Diego Rodriguez Cantillana, who was the last player standing from a small but enthusiastic Chilean delegation, busted in 36th for €1,125. The final elimination of the night was Andre Sorm, placing 25th for €1,500 as the remaining 24 players immediately bagged up for Day 3.
The third and final day of the tournament will commence Saturday, August 16, at noon local time. The 24 survivors have already locked up €1,500, but the big pay jumps will have to wait until the final table, with everyone eyeing the five-figure payouts reserved for the top six.
