Marius Enebakk moved all in for 30,000 in the cutoff. Asgeir Lund made it 60,000 on the button, which fellow big stack Jeremy Doll called in the small blind.
Doll had checked in the dark when the 8♠A♣9♣ flop arrived. Lund then announced an all-in bet worth more than twice the pot, covering Doll's stack of 450,000. Doll snapped him off, ensuring a new chipleader would be crowned.
Marius Enebakk: A♦J♥
Jeremy Doll: Q♣8♣
Asgeir Lund: A♠9♦
Lund had flopped two pair for a big lead. Doll rooted for a club or an eight, but the turn came the 9♠ instead, locking up the pot for Lund with a full house.
Doll complimented his opponent's hand and play as the meaningless J♦ rolled off on the river. Meanwhile, Lund stood up and took a few deep breaths as he could not believe he had become the first chip millionaire of the 2025 Coolbet Open Main Event.

Snorre Sund, Paul Solovjev, and Felipe Barrios had gotten all their chips in the middle. Solovjev had 83,000, which covered Barrios' 80,000 and the 42,000 of Sund.
Snorre Sund: A♠K♣
Felipe Barrios: 4♠4♣
Paul Solovjev: Q♥Q♣
The J♣9♠8♠ flop added a gutshot to Solovjev's arsenal, and he made a set on the Q♦ turn, leaving Barrios drawing dead. Sund needed a ten to stay alive, but the 6♥ river did not bring one, seeing him eliminated from the Main Event as well.

Diego Rodriguez Cantillana limped in from middle position. Artur Kulanurk then made it 20,000 to go in the hijack, which Rodriguez called.
Rodriguez check-called Kulanurk's bet of 25,000 on the 7♦9♦3♥ flop before the 4♥ turn was checked by both players. Rodriguez also checked the J♦ river, seeing his opponent bet 35,000.
A quick call followed, but Rodriguez's A♣7♥ was no match for the K♥J♠ of Kulanurk, who took the pot with top pair.

In the 912th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway comes to you from the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Casino, which is currently hosting the World Poker Tour (WPT) Cyprus Championship. It's there that he caught up with Will Kassouf for an exclusive interview to discuss his controversial run in the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, why he acts the way he does, and where things currently stand between him and the WSOP. Chad also asks if he experienced any sort of mental health situation during the WSOP, or perhaps was influenced by any sort of substances, while also inquiring how Kassouf thinks he's perceived in the poker world. Spoiler Alert: he says he is the 'Donald Trump of poker.'
Chad then sat down with WPT commentator Tony Dunst, who bagged Day 1a of the $3,500 WPT Cyprus Championship. The two Wisconsin boys talk about visiting Cyprus for the first time, sports, and what life is like nowadays for the debonair Dunst, who has now been with the WPT for 15 years!
These are two interviews that you don't want to miss!
Kaarel Vohandu raised to 13,000 in middle position, and Magnus Pukk called in the hijack. Aleksei Gontsar then three-bet to 38,000 in the cutoff, which Vohandu reraised to 100,000.
Pukk quickly got out of the way, but Gontsar tossed in calling chips. A J♦7♣8♥ flop was spread, on which Vohandu moved all in.
Gontsar was put at risk for his remaining 235,000, and he weighed his options for about 30 seconds before finding a fold.
