Selbst Slips a Bit

Vanessa Selbst opened to 500 in late position, a player on the button flatted, and the dealer fanned {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, Selbst silently tossed out 700, and her opponent called.

The {6-Clubs} completed the board, and Selbst slowed down, checked to her opponent who fired 1,350. Selbst quickly folded, but is still above the starting stack.

Dentale Picks Off Schwartz's Bluff

With the board reading {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Justin Schwartz bet 10,000 after the river into a healthy pot. Mike Dentale tanked for a bit and appeared ready to fold, before talking himself into a call.

Schwartz didn't want to see that and turned over {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for air. Dentale stood up and tabled {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for kings and eights to win the pot.

"Matty matt matt," said an excited Dentale to Matt Glantz, who was nearby. "They can't bluff me!"

Baumstein and Patel Avoid the Trap

Scott Baumstein opened to 450 in early position, and was called by four players including Raj Patel. The flop fell {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, the action checked to Baumstein, and he tossed out 900. Patel and a player in the small blind called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, all three players checked, and the river was the {2-Diamonds}. The trio knuckled again.

"F***!" the player in the small blind uttered when Patel checked on the river.

He unhappily tabled {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a straight, and raked in the pot.

Re-Clicking It Back

Aaron Massey
Aaron Massey

Daryl Jace, Aaron Massey, and a third player saw a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The action checked to Massey, who tossed out three brown T100 chips. Both of his opponents called.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds}, and the action checked to Massey, who fired 425. Only Jace called.

The river was the {a-Spades}, Jace checked a third time, and Massey bet 2,225. Jace tanked, then effectively min-raised to 4,500. Massey quickly clicked it back, effectively min-re-raising to 7,000. Jace laughed, then called.

Massey turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a full house, and Jace mucked his hand. When he did, the {q-Diamonds} flipped over - we can bet you know what the other card was.

Selbst Shoves

Vanessa Selbst and an opponent each committed 1,600 preflop to see an {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop.

A check from her opponent led to Selbst betting 1,800. Her opponent quickly called and both players checked the {Q-Diamonds} turn. When the {J-Spades} landed on the river, the middle-position player fired 3,100. Selbst took about 15 seconds before quietly announcing all in, having her opponent's remaining 25,000-ish well covered.

A quick fold sent the chips Selbst's way.
