The Old Nine-Deuce

A player opened to 350 in early position, and three players called the raise including Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, the initial raiser checked, and the player on his direct left fired 850. Only Mizrachi called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, and the player checked. Mizrachi fired 2,650, and the player called.

The {7-Spades} fell on the river, and the player checked to Mizrachi again. Quickly, the two-time $50,000 Poker Players Championship winner fired 5,000. His opponent called.

Mizrachi tabled {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for two busted draws, and his opponent tabled two black sixes for the winner.

Affleck Cruising

We arrived at Matt Affleck's table and found him sitting on a healthy stack before catching him in a pot.

The player under the gun opened to 425 and was called by four players, including Affleck in middle position and David Paredes on the button. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and action wad checked to Affleck who bet 1,200. Only Paredes came along to see the {7-Diamonds} turn.

Affleck bet 2,600 this time and again Paredes called. The {10-Spades} landed on the river, leading to an Affleck bet of 5,400. Paredes spent about 90 seconds in the tank before sliding his hand to the muck.

Cards With Pictures

Alex Queen opened to 400 from middle position, and the action folded to Dave Inselberg in the big blind. The two bantered a bit, and Queen requested that Inselberg raise, but he opted to just call.

"If I raise, I win the pot," Inselberg said. "If I just call I can string you along."

The dealer fanned {4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}, and both players checked. The turn was the {k-Clubs}, both players knuckled again, and the {3-Diamonds} completed the board. Inselberg sloppily bet one purple T500 chip and a handful of green T25 chips.

"How much?" Queen asked.

"I don't know," Inselberg chucked. "I'm that strong."

"Ok," Queen shrugged, making the call.

Inselberg tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, which Queen called "the nuts," and Inselberg raked in the pot.

"I don't play cards without pictures," Inselberg said, grinning.

Quads For Selbst

Picking up the very end of the action on a {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board, Vanessa Selbst bet 3,500. Her opponent spent a few moments in the tank before he called, but immediately mucked when Selbst tabled {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for quad sevens.

Affleck Loses One; Still Above Starting Stack

Matt Affleck and an opponent were heads up on a board of {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Affleck led out for 2,200, and an opponent on his direct left raised to 5,100, and Affleck tank-called.

The {6-Clubs} completed the board, and Affleck checked. His opponent quickly grabbed chips, and fired 8,400. Affleck re-checked his cards, examined the board, and folded.

His opponent mucked the winner, and despite winning the hand, Affleck is still well above the starting stack.
