Zegal Goes for Thin Value

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Stanislav Zegal had raised in the cutoff when the recently doubled Csaba Fenyvesi flicked in a three-bet to 25,000 in the small blind. Zegal called to the 1010J flop, where Fenyvesi continued for 18,000.

Zegal raised to 45,000, which Fenyvesi matched after some thought. After the 5 turn checked through to the 9 river, Fenyvesi knuckled the table again.

Zegal took some time before he came out with a bet of 76,500. Fenyvesi announced a call, but he mucked his cards when Zegal showed QJ83 for a straight to the queen.

Tom-Aksel Bedell raised in the hijack and called when Krasimir Yankov three-bet to 34,000 in the cutoff. Bedell tossed in a call to the K8J flop, which he checked over to Yankov.

Yankov bet 75,500, a large portion of his stack.

"I did not like the flop," Bedell admitted.

"Me neither," Yankov replied.

Bedell eventually decided to put Yankov at risk, and the latter quickly called off his stack of 115,000.
