Alioto Dodges the River to Double

Tobias Andersen raised to 525,000 on the button and Dario Alioto reraised to 900,000 in the big blind. Andersen then moved all in and Alioto paused for a moment to check what was happening at the other table before calling for 1,125,000.

Alioto hit top pair on the A♣7♥4♠ flop, but Andersen picked up straight and flush draws on the J♠ turn. "That's a sweat," Alioto said.

The river 8♣ was safe for Alioto and he doubled up.

Fredrik Lindstrom raised to 525,000 on the button and Tobias Andersen called in the big blind.

The flop came A♦8♣2♦ and Lindstrom bet 375,000. Andersen called and the Q♥ fell on the turn.

Lindstrom then bet 1,025,000 and Andersen again called. Both players then checked the 2♦ river and Lindstrom showed A♣9♦8♥6♣ for two pair as Andersen flashed A♥9♠ before mucking.

Taago Tamm raised to 400,000 in the hijack and Puk Nabuurs called on the button.

Tamm bet another 400,000 on the A♠J♠J♦ flop and Nabuurs called. The turn was the 8♥ and Tamm checked.

Nabuurs then bet 800,000 and Tamm raised to 1,800,000. Nabuurs called and the 7♥ fell on the river.

Tamm slowed down and checked as Nabuurs pushed in a tower of 500,000 chips, enough to put Tamm all in for his last 4,100,000. Tamm snap-folded.

"How do you have it every time?" Tamm wondered.

With around 1,500,000 in the pot, Mirza Masoud and Puk Nabuurs saw the turn on a board of 6♦4♣7♦8♣. Masoud then moved all in for 2,100,000 from the cutoff and Nabuurs put him at risk in the big blind.

Masoud showed J♣10♠6♣5♠ for a pair to go with straight and flush draws, while Nabuurs had 10♥9♦5♦4♠ for a made straight. The K♠ river missed Masoud and he was eliminated in 13th place while Nabuurs took down another big pot.
