Ikeda Drills the River For a Miracle Double

Satoshi Ikeda and the big blind had built up a pot of around 35,000 heading to the turn on a board of 9♣6♦6♥8♣ when Ikeda, under the gun, got his last 37,000 in the middle.

His opponent called from the big blind and showed A♠6♣ for trip sixes. Ikeda turned over 8♠7♠ and needed to improve on the river to stay alive in what had become a massive pot.

The dealer turned over the 8♦ and a collective gasp arose from the table as Ikeda made a full house. He leaned back in his chair and let out a deep breath as he stayed alive thanks to that miracle river.
