After Norbert Kovacs limped from under the gun, Szymon Bujok to his left raised to 1,700. Natan Sapoznikov on the button called and made Kovacs fold.

The dealer fanned a flop of 10♦7♥J♣, and Sapoznikov called a bet of 1,500 by Bujok. Then on the turn 7♦, Bujok fired a second barrel of 4,000, and Sapoznikov called again.

On the river A♠, Bujok checked with Q♣9♣. But Sapoznikov checked back with Q♦J♦ and scooped the pot.

Winner of the EAPT Cup in Barcelona last October, Carlos Esquerdo will try to win the Main Event in Bratislava.

Here, he opened to 1,000 from middle position, and was called by the button and by Zoltan Vrancsik, who defended from the big blind.

The flop came 7♦7♠9♥, and Esquerdo continued for 1,200. Only Vrancsik called, then both of them checked on the turn K♦.

After Vrancsik checked again on the river 6♣, Esquerdo bet 3,000. Vrancsik snap-folded.

On his first hand of the day, Walter Matura opened to 800, but Norbert Kovacs to his left three-bet to 2,200. The button and the blinds folded to Matura, who made a face but called.

Both players checked on a K♥8♣9♦ flop. But on the turn 3♥, Matura bet 1,000. Kovacs quickly called, and didn't wait to call again on the river 2♥ after Matura bet 2,000.

Unfortunately for Kovacs, Matura had a pair with K♦10♣ and won the pot.

The dealer fanned a flop of 4♣10♥2♠, which was checked by both Krupa and Longmate. Progner took this opportunity to bet 800. Only Longmate called.

After Longmate checked on the turn 6♠, Progner asked for 2,100 and Longmate snap-called. But the river 7♣ brought no more action, as both players checked.

Progner revealed 5♥4♥ for a pair, and won the pot as Longmate mucked his cards.

Lior Sahar in early position limped, and so did Maria Angelaki in the cutoff. Stefanos Giannakopoulos raised to 800 from the button, and he was called by Ion Dragu in the big blind, and by Sahar and Angelaki.

On a flop of 10♠Q♠2♥, everybody checked to Giannakopoulos, who continued for 1,600. Sahar was the only one to call, and he check-called again when Giannakopoulos fired a second barrel of 2,200 on the turn 8♠.

The 3♠ landed on the river, and Giannakopoulos bet 4,100. Sahar check-called, but mucked his cards when Giannakopoulos flipped over K♠Q♦ for top pair.
