Melkumov Happy With His Bluff

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 15,000 in the middle on a flop of 2910, Davit Kubaneishvili bet 8,000 and Mikhail Melkumov raised to 23,000. Kubaneishvili called.

A 2 came on the turn and after Melkumov checked, Kubaneishvili bet a chunky 50,000. Melkumov thought for a few moments but decided to let it go.

As his opponent folded, Melkumov thumped the table twice then slammed down A8 onto the felt for a bluff.

Kabaki Goes Passive Postflop

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Marie Kabaki min-raised from under the gun to 5,000, and got a call from Denis Zavarzin in the big blind.

As far as excitement goes, the preflop action was about as good as it gets in this hand as both players checked to the river on the 698A6 board where Zavarzin bet 5,000, and Kabaki quickly folded.

Tsetskhladze Earns a Knockout

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Giorgi Tsetskhladze
Giorgi Tsetskhladze

Konstantin Lobach was seen standing up and exiting the tournament area after being eliminated by Giorgi Tsetskhladze.

The action was unknown but the chips were into the middle on the turn with the board reading J473, and a Q dropped on the river.

Tsetskhladze held the nuts with 65 and even though Lobach's cards weren't seen, it's safe to say he couldn't beat his opponent's straight.

Simonian Angrily Folds the River

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Anton Svidunovich raised to 4,000 and got a call from Levan Dzidzikashvili in the next seat. Artur Simonian called from the small blind, as did the player in the big blind.

On the A22 flop, it checked to Svidunovich, who fired out a continuation-bet. Only Simonian called.

A K on the turn saw Simonian check-call a bet of 7,500 from Svidunovich.

When the Q dropped on the river, Simonian checked for a third time and Svidunovich bet 20,000. Simonian picked up his cards then folded by slamming down A10 face up into the center of the table

Vlasov Runs Jacks into Kings

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Pozhitok raised to 4,000 from under the gun and Denis Vlasov three-bet from the cutoff to 10,000. When it got back to Pozhitok, he moved all in, and Vlasov called off his stack of around 38,000.

Denis Vlasov: JJ All in
Michael Pozhitok: KK

Vlasov momentarily thought he had survived as the window card was a J, but unfortunately for the Russian player, it was promptly followed by K5, which gave both players a set. Only the last remaining jack in the deck could save Vlasov but neither the 2 turn nor 9 river are what he needed, and he was eliminated.
