A big pot was brewing on Table #12 where Artur Simonian had chips out in front of him, Eduard Bagrov had reraised, Anton Svidunovich shoved for 34,500, Simonion folded, and Bagrov called.
Anton Svidunovich: A♥K♠
Eduard Bagrov: J♦J♠
Svidunovich was the at-risk player and got no help from the 10♦2♠9♥ flop as the pocket jacks of Bagrov maintained their lead. The 5♠ turn didn't change anything, but Svidunovich binked his ace on the A♠ river to double up at the last possible opportunity.
Yana Gorskaya had put in 2,000 preflop and been called by Zaza Gachechiladze before Otar Kandelaki made it 8,000 on the button. Gorskaya folded, but Gachechiladze called.
On the Q♦9♦2♣ flop, Gachechiladze checked, Kandelaki bet 7,000, and Gachechiladze called.
The turn brought a K♠ and Gachechiladze led with a bet of 22,000, then got Kandelaki to fold.
Aleksei Zhukov was seen with a bet of 3,500 in front of him from the big blind, then Gevork Somonyan had four-bet to 8,500 from early position. Zhukov called.
On the flop of Q♦J♣10♣, both players checked to the 5♣ turn. Zhukov checked, Somonyan bet 12,000, and Zhukov called.
A 9♠ fell on the river and after Zhukov checked, Somonyan put out a small bet of 6,000. Zhukov called.
Somonyan then showed K♦9♦ for a flopped straight, and Zhukov mucked.
On a flop of 7♥3♣7♣, there were 4,000 chips in the middle when Luka Dangadze bet 2,500, which both Ivan Shchelkun and Andrey Golubev called.
An 8♥ on the turn saw Dangadze bet 5,000 and Shchelkun call before Golubev shoved for 27,700. Dangadze quickly folded, and Shchelkun eventually tossed his cards away after some time thinking.
