Five players saw a flop of 4♦2♦2♥, with 32,000 in the middle. The under-the-gun player Gabriel Cogianu bet 7,500 and was called by Daniel Maunders in middle position and Tristan Chaplin in the small blind.

The K♠ came on the tun and Cogianu bet 12,500 which got a fold from Maunders and a call from Chaplin.

The J♣ completed the board and Cogianu slid out 27,000 which got Chaplin to fold. Cogianu showed 8♦7♦ for a busted flush draw, but his aggression gained him the pot.

Both players checked the 10♠ turn, but Miller took a stab for 15,000 on the 10♦ river which double-paired the board. Chaplin called in an instant and tabled 9♦9♣ which was good enough to take the pot.

To conclude the 2024 Mediterranean Poker Party, all eyes were on the final table of the $1,100 EAPT Cyprus. After an unbelievable three-way all-in and call situation where he found aces, Denis Zelenkin was crowned as the champion.

Zelenkin defeated a field of 855 entries to take home $139,000 and the EAPT trophy. Eliminated at the same time, Tibor Nyuli and Iurii Zuev finished in second and third place, for $93,400 and $64,000 respectively.

Shepherd Wins Five-Way All In Pot!

Francis Obadun bet 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Hok Lai in early position. Timothy Slater in middle position raised to 33,000 and was cold-called by Richard Shepherd in the hijack and Albert Sapiano in the cutoff.

Action folded around to Obadun who looked stunned from all of the action in front of him. He elected to call and announced, "If I hit, it is going in!" Lai had other ideas hover and moved all in for 144,000. Slater shoved for 207,500, and was under-called by Shepherd for 140,900 and Sapiano for 120,000.

Obadun's eyes rocked to the back of his head and was in complete disbelief. He used up a time-bank card before bellowing "F*** it!" and slammed down calling chips.

An incredible five-way all-in situation and Hok Lai was ahead with pocket kings. However, Shepherd drilled a straight on the turn on the runout of 7♠5♠3♣4♦4♣ to take down the lion-share of the pot, Sapiano headed to the exit along with Slater. Lai and Obadun received a small rebate from side pots.

While scooping in the colossal pot, Shepherd sheepishly said "Fish wins!" with a wry smirk on his face.
