George Constantin limped from under the gun and was met with a raise of 8,000 from Viesturs Baumanis in the small blind. Constantin re-raised to 20,000 which was called by Baumanis.
Constantin bet 45,000 on the 4♦4♣2♥ flop, which prompted Baumanis to move all in. Constantin was covered and had 130,000 behind. He used a time bank card before opting to fold to give Baumanis a chunky pot.
All the chips went into the middle preflop three ways with Paul Harrison at risk for 183,000 and unbelievably Albert Sapiano for 67,500, who has had more ups and downs than a corkscrew rollercoaster. They were both covered by Daniel Elder.
Albert Sapiano: K♣Q♦
Paul Harrison: A♦K♠
Daniel Elder: A♣K♥
The case king on the K♦7♠5♦ gave all three players top pair, but the Q♥7♥ completed the runout to give Sapiano kings and queens and secure a triple up.
The $2,200 EAPT Grand Final took just under thirteen hours for a winner to emerge from 16 hopefuls who made it to the final day. Boris Kolev may have entered the final table as the shortest stack with just six big blinds, but he held all of the chips after the final hand had been dealt.
Kolev last defeated Brazilian business owner Ueberton Cristian De Aquino in heads-up play, taking home the top prize of $437,000 after a heads-up deal. This Grand Final win marked his second-largest career tournament cash after his first WSOP bracelet win in 2021, and brought the Bulgarian pro's career tournament winnings to just over $3,700,000.
With 60,000 in the middle, five players saw a flop of 8♦5♠3♠ and Will Kassouf bet 38,000 from the cutoff. This was the exact amount of chips that Majid Nadeem had in his stack on the button and moved all in. Conan Hazard in the small blind also made the call and the two others folded.
Both players checked to showdown after the runout of Q♦Q♠. Kassouf tabled A♥5♥ for two pair, top kicker which was enough to send Nadeem to the rail with 6♦5♦, while Hazard mucked his hand.
