Two Germans Out

Jan Heitmann = Busto
Jan Heitmann = Busto
A duo of Germans are our latest causalities. Jan Heitmann and Marcus Lehmann are both gone. Heitmann rushed by as he made the walk of shame out of the tournament area. The former magician made all of his chips disappear.

"Ah, F***"

Thomas Kroemmer has eliminated a very disgruntled player. The now-busted gent moved all in on a {2-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {5-Hearts} flop and after some time, Kroemmer called, and was ahead all the way.

Busted Opponent: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}
Kroemmer: {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts}

Turn: {3-Clubs}
River: {J-Spades}

Kroemmer reached across the table to shake hands with his opponent, but the opponent was already walking off, muttering, "Ah, f***," under his breath, and Kroemmer shrugged and sat back down.

The Shelf Life of a Chip Count Is Short

How quickly things change here in the crazy world of EPT level three.

In the 15 minutes or so since I last hit the card room, Kara Scott has upped her stack to a much more respectable 7,500, Joseph Serock has somehow lost two thirds of his stack and is down to just 5,400, and Chris Moorman has leapt from 12,000 to 19,700.

Poker and Food

There's a new twist at the PokerStars.com EPT Budapest. Instead of taking a lengthy dinner break, everyone is playing straight through. With the omission of a dinner break, several players ordered food from the casino. They are eating and playing simultaneously. Alex Kravchenko was spotted feasting on a salad with grilled shrimp. Players still get a 15 minute break at the end of Levels 2, 4, and 6, but those who advance to Day 2 are guaranteed to have an early night.

EPT London £1m Showdown near-misser Praz Bansi's table has been broken -- and he now finds himself sharing a table with fellow countryman Priyan De Mel and fellow countrywoman Vicky Coren. Looking forward to some hot Brit-on-Brit action...
