. There was a queen on the board but it wasn't enough, and a dejected Gavin made his exit, telling Puccini, "I thought you were squeeze-playing..."

Catching up with Kara Scott during the break, she informed me that she dropped down to around 32,000 after reraising preflop only to fold to a push from the big blind -- correctly, as the big blind was holding pocket kings. "Oh well, back to the grind..."

Meanwhile, other news from the Table Of Doom is that Annette Obrestad has dropped down to around 50,000, and earlier centres of controversy Will Fry and Joseph Rutkai are now both seated across from each other at the same.
