Teltscher Loses Battle of the Blinds

Action folded around to Mark Teltscher in the small blind who made it 1,000 to go. His lone opponent in the big blind practically beat Mark into the pot, tossing his remaining 3,000 chips into the middle; Teltscher made the call.

The board ran out an anti-climactic {8-Hearts}

and the big blind took down the 6,000 pot, leaving Teltscher with approximately 7,000 in chips.

Andy Black Yo-Yo's

Andy Black's stack has gone up and down today like a yo-yo. He is back up to 18,500 which is his high point of the tournament so far after he flopped a set and got paid 5,000 on the river. He puts his varying stack down to the "variety" of hands he is playing. He is in very jovial spirits which usually means he is likely to be a major player in the tournament.

Oliveira Doubles Up

Carlos Oliveira has just doubled up to ~25,000 in chips after his pocket aces held up against an opponent's pocket queens. All of the money went in pre-flop and the board filled out {4-Spades}

to give Oliveira the pot and a place near the top of the leaderboard.

Double Blow for Luca

Luca Pagano was cruising along on 17,000 but two pots in a row have seen him drop to 7,000.

The first pot he faced a bet of 1,750 on a board that read {10-Clubs}

, there was already 4,000 in the pot but Luca had to make what looked like a pained fold.

A couple of hands later he bet out on a {3-Hearts}

flop only to face a 5,200 chip all in raise from his opponent. Luca did not think too long before making the call with {10-Hearts}

. His opponent had {K-Hearts}

and the turn and river did not help the Italian Pro.

Liz Lieu Loses A Chunk

Liz Lieu was trying to get a last longer bet going with Francis Lamothe as they had nearly the same amount of chips. It was not able to be negotiated and after this hand took place, it is likely that it won't get off the ground. With 3,500 in the pot and the flop reading {9-Hearts}

, Liz bet out 3,500 and Francis moved all in. Liz eventually folded leaving herself with 7,000 and Francis now on 17,000. Odds will be needed for that last longer now.
