Okumus Doubleupagus

Alp Okumus of Germany has just doubled through an opponent after making a tough call for *almost* all of his chips holding {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} on a {Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} board.

After the turn was dealt, his opponent, first to act, asked Okumus to count down his stack which amounted to 9,775 in chips. His opponent then opted to make a bet of 9,750, which would've left Alp with a single green 25 chip. After quite some time in the tank, Okumus took a look at his watch and said, "I think it's time to go for me," before dropping his stack into the middle to make the call.

"Good call," said Okumus' opponent, who tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for a stone cold bluff. At this point, everyone seemed happy enough to ignore the fact that Okumus stll had one green chip behind, as the showdown took place right then and there despite the incomplete action.

The river brought a meaningless {9-Clubs} and Okumus took down the hand with a pair of queens, doubling up to just over 37,000 in chips.
