You're All in the Money!

Sandro Soncini Celebrates
Sandro Soncini Celebrates
After the announcement was made, play paused momentarily while everyone celebrated in their respective ways. From Sandro Soncini's ecstatic phone call, to the statuesque, perhaps bored Todd Brunson, each player reacted somewhat differently.

Bubble Burst!

It was a very quick bubble. Just as they announced that they were going hand for hand, there was an all-in announcement. Evert Jan Dondergoor was all in against Eric Koskas on the turn of a {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades} board.

Eric: {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Evert: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Evert Jan Dondergoor is eliminated in 73rd place.

Felipe Ramos Doing Well

Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos
One of just five Brazilian players to enter this tournament, Felipe Ramos seems to be involved in his fair share of the action. Ramos seems to be mixing up his game well and doing what he needs to do to give himself a chance. He is currently working with a chip stack of 60,000.

Mads Bluffs Into Chip Lead

Mads Wissing Andersen
Mads Wissing Andersen
A big crowd started to develop around one of the tables. There was 120,000 in chips scattered in the middle of the table and Mads Wissing Andersen had moved all in for another 120,000 against William Thorson. This action was taking place on the river of an {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} board. Thorson had Andersen covered, but not by much. He went deep into the tank and eventually Andersen called for time. Thorson let the time run out and as soon as he did Andersen flipped up {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and danced a little jig. Andersen now has 240,000 in chips.

Koskas Puts Pressure On

Eric Koskas
Eric Koskas
Eric Koskas made it 5,100 from early position in the first hand at his new table. Andrea Cortona made the call from the big blind. The flop was {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Andrea fired out a bet of 6,000 which Eric called. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Eric called a 7,000 bet from Cortona. The river was the {7-Hearts} and this time Cortona checked. Eric moved all in with a wave of his hands. He had Andrea well covered but in the end he was not called. Back over 200,000 for Koskas.
