Disaster For Drinan

Connor Drinan just exited in the last hand before the break. A typical {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} vs the {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} of Olivier Douce. We're not sure where the money went in, but the {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} was very conclusive.

Disaster

Ms Moreira de Melo. We weep for her loss.
Ms Moreira de Melo. We weep for her loss.
...At least for the discerning gentlemen in the room. Lovely Fatima Moreira de Melo, newly signed up as a Team PokerStars SportStar, is nowhere to be seen, her seat now occupied by Morten Erlandsen instead.

Thew Vs. Mizrachi

Julian Thew and Robert Mizrachi saw a {K-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} flop and Julian bet out. Mizrachi called from the button and they proceeded.

Turn: {3-Clubs}

Another 3,000 from Thew, and a swift call from Mizrachi.

River: {9-Clubs}

Casual as anything, Thew now tossed in 7,000. Mizrachi paused for a moment, pensively threading chips -- and opted to give it up.

The Score:

Thew: 45,000
Mizrachi: 42,000

Gaining A Thew Chips

Julian Thew is up to about 80,000 after getting very lucky in a large pot. Blind on blind, he had raised a 3,600 bet to 11,200 before his opponent moved all-in. Thew sighed and called with {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} dominated as he was by the small blind's {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}.

The poker gods had other ideas though and the board ran out {4-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Spades} {9-Clubs} {Q-Spades} leaving the Brit with a quiet but sheepish smile.

Boeken Finally Wins a Hand

Noah Boeken has been very quiet all day without much going on in his neck of the woods. Just recently, he flat-called a raise to 900 from the cutoff seat. The flop came down {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and the preflop raiser led for 1,600. Boeken put in a raise to 5,100 and the player folded.

It's not much, but it's the first pot we've seen Boeken pull in. He has around 22,000 chips.

Mikkelsen Gone

Dag Martin Mikkelsen is out after getting his stack in with top two pair against a straight and flush draw on the turn. Unluckily for the Norwegian, his opponent hit to eliminate him.
