Marc Goodwin has picked up a nice pot after seeing a flop.
His opponent bet out 8,500 from the under the gun position, but Goodwin on the button made it 28,500. The gent folded, and the pot belonged to Goodwin.
A big and mysterious pot from portly Frenchman Alain Roy's table.
It looks as though Roy raised the cutoff and the gentleman on the button reraised. It appears further that Roy four-bet, only for the button to five-bet all in -- either way, there was 50,000 in the pot and an additional 70,000 sitting on the felt in front of the button when we arrived at the table. Roy thought about it, carefully examining his remaining 130,000 stack -- but after a while made the fold.
Mike "Timex: McDonald is up to 145,000 after knocking out a short stack. We're not sure when the chips went in, but the less than premium hands were as follows:
With the big blind sitting out Craig Bergeron raised under the gun, Matt Woodward reraised from the small blind and Bergeron 4-bet for a good chunk of his stack.
Woodward set him in and Bergeron called with . Woodward flipped which stayed in front to increase his lead to almost 400,000.
JJ Liu raised to 4,100 from middle position and the player in the big blind called. The flop came down and both players checked.
The turn brought the and the big blind checked to Liu. She fired out a bet of 8,000. That was enough of a move to get her opponent to fold and she gathered in the chips to move up to 81,000.
