Ruling Saves Teng from Set Over Set Over Set Disaster

With the board reading {J-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs}, a three-way raising war erupted. We caught up with the action as the gentleman in the cutoff moved all in for 21,500 and the action moved over to Andrew Teng in early position, who disappeared into the tank. Eventually the clock was called, and it had timed right down when Teng called all in on zero - only to be told that his hand was dead, as his count only went down to one. Yikes.

But as it turned out, it was a lucky escape. One Andre Ipaira in the hijack called, and flipped over {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} for a flopped top set. Mr. Cutoff could only boast {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} for a flopped bottom set. Teng announced to the table that he'd had pocket nines for flopped middle set.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and Mr. Cutoff was busto; Ipaira meanwhile found himself possessor of around 70,000 in chips. Teng, suddenly very glad he timed out, is left with 22,500.
