Threes Good for Morante

David Morante raised, and Michael Fratty called out of the big blind.

Fratty check-called 76,000 on the {2-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} flop and then another 146,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} turn, before both players checked the {6-Diamonds} river. Morante matter-of-factly flipped {3-Spades} {3-Hearts}, and Fratty couldn't beat it.

Fitoussi Clocked Quickly

Over on the TV Table, Bruno Fitoussi opened the pot with a raise to 70,000. All the way around the table, Stephane Albertini moved all in for 313,000 total. Fitoussi tanked for just a minute or two before someone at the table called the clock awfully quickly. Fitoussi frowned and kicked his cards in almost immediately, sending about 10% of his stack to his opponent.

Eastgate Investigates

Between hands, Peter Eastgate was sent by his table to find out what caused all of the commotion at the other outer table (they know what's happening at the feature table since it's being narrated by an announcer.)

When he heard Jake Cody's massive suckout, he just shook his head. But when he heard the amounts involved (which made Cody chip leader over Eastgate) he may have uttered some unpublishable words.

Peter reported the action to tablemate Mike McDonald, who was surprised that Cody had made such a risky move. "Wow, I though he was pretty solid." Mmm, metagame. Delicious

Khier Rezaik Eliminated in 17th Place (€18,400)

Khier Rezaik - 17th Place
Eastgate raised under the gun to 70,000, and on his immediate left, Khier Rezaik immediately moved all in. It folded back to Eastgate, who asked for a count. It took several tries for the dealer to get it right, but he eventually determined that Rezaik was playing 347,000 more. Eastgate found a call, and off to the races they went.

Eastgate: {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Rezaik: {7-Spades} {7-Hearts} - at risk

Flop: {J-Spades} {6-Hearts} {9-Spades}

Turn: {K-Hearts} - Rezaik stands up from his chair.

River: {5-Clubs}

Eastgate's immense pile of chips keeps getting bigger, though he's still far behind chip daddy Jake Cody.

Albertini Escapes for Now

Peter Eastgate raised, and short-stacked Stephane Albertini shoved. Call.

Albertini: {A-Spades} {9-Hearts}
Eastgate: {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}

Board: {7-Clubs} {K-Spades} {K-Clubs} {10-Spades} {7-Spades}

The lucky Albertini got away with a chop, and stayed in the game. He tried another shove a few moments later, but no-one was interested that time, and he remains both in and short for the moment.

Hugo Lemaire Eliminated in 18th Place (€18,400)

In the parlance:

O.

M.

G.

Hugo Lemaire raised, and over in the small blind Jake Cody reraised to 193,000. Back to Lemaire, who made it 410,000. Interesting.

Cody thought about it for a long time... And then announced all in. Instacall.

Lemaire: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}
Cody: {10-Spades} {4-Clubs}. Yes, that's right - {10-Spades} {4-Clubs}. Obviously.

Board: {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} ... {7-Clubs}!

Lemaire walked off in disgust before the stacks were even counted, which was just as well as he was in fact busted. Cody waited until he was gone before letting a sheepish grin creep across his face. The sick Emo puppy is up to 3.6 million.

Philippe Ktorza Eliminated in 20th Place (€18,400)

Peter Eastgate limped, then Philippe Ktorza completed his small blind. Michael Fratty could have checked his option, but that'd be no fun. Instead, he bumped it to 90,000.

Eastgate folded, but Ktorza had other ideas. He pushed all of his chips into the middle. The dealer counted out 566,000, and Fratty called.

Fratty: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}
Ktorza: {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} - at risk and dominated

Board:{K-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

Michael Fratty is now up to 1.3 million.
