Bono Drives Ferrari Off Course

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Two Italians just clashed over on Table 2, with Emilliano Bono coming off in much better shape than Andrea Ferrari.

The hand had already played out and Bono was celebrating loudly when we got the to the table but piecing the information together shows that Bono made a large raise from under the gun and Ferrari, on the button, moved all in. Bono snap-called and the players turned over their cards.

Bono: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Ferrari: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} doubling Bono up and leaving Ferrari with just 50,000 chips.

Losev All In

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With the best result possible - a full double up. He must have been delighted to get into a preflop raising war with Marcin Horecki, picking up {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} on the button. Horecki's 88k three-bet out of the big blind was quickly raised what looked like an arbitrary most-of-stack amount (it turned out to be 304k).

Horecki thought for a moment before announcing that he was all-in; with only 110k behind, Losev was guaranteed to call, and he did. Horecki showed {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} which stayed behind on the {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades} board, giving a new million chip stack to Losev.

Leonzio Plays It Fast, Wins Pot

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The man branded as "crazy" by Josh Prager after cold call-in a three-bet shove with ace-jack offsuit, Marco Leonzio, just played a hand a lightning speed, which seemed to knock Jan Bendik right off his stride.

Leonzio opened on the button to 45,000 and then called when Bendik reraised to 121,000. A flop reading {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} saw Bendik lead out with a 125,000 bet and Leonzio called extremely quickly.

The {9-Spades} on the turn saw Bendik check and as soon as the words had left his mouth, Leonzio had already pushed two piles of yellow chips totalling 200,000 into the pot. Unsurprisingly, Bendik folded.

Prager Doubles Up Through "Crazy" Leonzio

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Josh Prager is very much back in this tournament after doubling up against Marco Leonzio in a hand Prager described as "crazy."

Jan Bendik started the ball rolling with a raise to 36,000 and when the action folded to Prager in the cutoff he moved all in for what turned out to be 391,000. Whilst we were preparing for the action to fold back around to Bendik, Marco Leonzio cold called from the big blind! Bendik didn't look happy about folding his hand but that is exactly what he did.

Prager: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Leonzio: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} - Yes really.

The {9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop paired Leonzio's ace but gave Prager a set of kings and when the turn brought the {9-Hearts}, filling Prager up, Leonzio was drawing extremely thinly. The river was the {2-Hearts} and with that Prager moe than doubled up and now finds himself with 854,000

Romanello Cannot Believe That Hand Actually Played

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We just witnessed a hilarious incident, when Josh Prager open-shoved from the button for 400,000. In the small blind, Roberto Romanello just couldn't believe it.

Prager attempted to justify his actions: "You're a good player, I don;t want to play you after the flop. I'm very good preflop."

Romanello still refused to believe what had just happened. "Was that hand real?" he asked. "I thought you were joking. Surely it was a misdeal and you were just messing. Did that hand actually play?" He spent long enough musing on the strangeness of it all that he forgot to play his next hand, and Jan Bendik eventually called the clock on him. He folded that one too.

Double Slick

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

A moment of drama as Emilliano Bono put the ceremonial napkin/chamois leather on his head to honour his all-in moment against Jean Souleiman. The preflop confrontation had quickly escalated, leading to {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} playing {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. As is usual, a split ensued, the board coming {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Zoltan Szabo Eliminated in 22nd Place (€15,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The chips went in preflop, Zoltan Szabo all in with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} against Marco Leonzio's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Board: {6-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

"Yes!" cried Leonzio in somewhat ungentlemanly fashion as he hit his ace on the flop, then, "Wheeeeee!" when he rivered a full house.

Josh Prager turned to the table as Szabo was still in the process of leaving and announced, "I feel better now, because now there's no-one left I've insulted. I insulted him yesterday," indicating the retreating Szabo, "Now there's no-one left. I made fun of him yesterday, so I'm glad he's gone."

Chop It Up!

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Josh Prager's tournament was in the balance but he is still here thanks to a split pot.

Jan Bendik raised to 35,000 from the button, Denis Kipnis folded his small blind but Prager moved all-in for a total of 325,000 chips. Bendik sat silently for just under a minute before announcing, "I Call."

Bendik: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Prager: {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} - At risk

The flop of {j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} kept Bendik in front and Prager looked like he was going to be the 22nd place finisher. The {9-Hearts} on the turn was another nail in Prager's proverbial coffin but the {k-Diamonds} on the river meant neither player's kicker came into play and the pot was split.

Romanello Ready For Action

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Roberto Romanello has got off to a good start by adding another 90,000 chips to his stack.

The Welshman raised from the cutoff to 33,000 and Roberto Nulli called on the button. When the blinds folded the dealer put out the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. Romanello then check-called a 42,000 bet from Nulli, then both players checked when the {9-Diamonds} showed up on the turn.

The action was the same when the {q-Clubs} peeled off on the river but Romanello scooped the pot as his {a-Spades}{4-Spades} had made trip aces, much better than the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} of his opponent.

Last Woman Standing Doubles Up

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Melanie Weisner looks a little more comfortable over on Table 1 after doubling up through Nikolay Losev.

The action folded around to Miss Weisner on the button and she wasted no time in moving all in. After 90 seconds, Losev made the call and Weisner was at risk as Losev had her 224,000 more than covered.

Weisner: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Losev: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop kept Weisner ahead and when the turn and river came the {2-Hearts} and {3-Diamonds} respectively, the last woman in this tournament doubled up to 482,000
