Suppering on the Med

Boh-Boh.... chick.... chicka-chickaaaaa

With that familiar EPT break music in their heads, the players have been sent off for their 90-minute dinner break. We'll be back at approximately 8:20 p.m. to play another three levels of poker.

Roland Takes One Before Dinner

Roland De Wolfe made it 1,000 from under the gun and found two callers.

On a flop reading {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, the big blind checked, giving De Wolfe the chance to bet 1,500. The other opponent folded and the big blind made the call.

The two checked the {8-Hearts} turn.

When the {q-Spades} fell on the river, it was checked to Roland De Wolfe, who fired out a bet of 3,000. His opponent made the call and De Wolfe flipped over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} to take the pot.

Schleger Takes One

Shane Schleger made it 1,000 to go preflop and found two callers.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

The big blind made a bet of 2,500. Schleger made it 6,000. The button folded and the big blind, after thinking for a moment, also released his hand.

Bjor-in the Green

Chris Bjorin raised UTG and got one call from Martin Kabrhel.

Bjorin fired 2,500 on the {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {4-Clubs} flop, 6,000 on the {J-Spades} turn and then 11,000 on the {2-Clubs} river.

Kabrhel called the first two bets down but on the third he tanked and had the clock called on him.

The questions read like an interrogation as Kabrhel tried to get a read on the veteran Swede.

With just a few seconds left, Kabrhel made the call but mucked when he got shown {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} by Bjorin.

Raymer Gets A Round Penalty

Oops!
Oops!
After winning an 80,000 chip pot, we understand Greg Raymer has been given a one orbit penalty. He had apparently won the pot having called all-in with a flush draw and hit, his Ukrainian opponent then berated him constantly for several minutes.

Eventually Raymer swore at the Ukrainian and one of the floorstaff gave Raymer the penalty for what he had said. His opponent though, managed to escape any punishment.

Gustavson Bets Hard, Takes It Easy

Aaron Gustavson (mid position) and two other players (early position and cutoff respectively) saw a {4-Spades} {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} flop; it checked around to Mr. Late Position who bet 4,000. Back to Mr. Early Position, who called, and then back to Gustavson, who now check-raised to 40,000 to cover them both. One by one his opponents folded.

Gustavson, his face almost on the felt owing to the extremely thorough massage he was receiving at the time, raked in the pot and was up to 70,000.

Luke-ing Better Than Before

Luke Schwartz has doubled through after he check-raised a 2,000 bet to 4,125 on a {J-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop from the small blind. The small blind made the call but then also called the 8,625 shove on the {7-Spades} turn.

Schwartz: {J-Hearts} {8-Hearts}
Button: {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

The river was the {4-?} and Schwartz gave the dealer a hug but then also dropped a €50 bill into the dealer's tray as well. Schwartz is back up to almost 30,000.

Dempsey Flushed Away

James "Flushy" Dempsey bet out 16,000 with not much left behind on the turn of a {J-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} board, leaving Alexander Roumeliotis with a decision. He decided to push. Dempsey called all in, and they turned the cards over.

Dempsey: {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} for an up-and-down straight draw
Roumeliotis: {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts} for top pair

River: {J-Spades}

Dempsey is in the metaphorical dumpster, while Roumeliotis is up to 120,000.
