We only caught bits of the action owing to there being craziness to track at virtually every table, but we do know that there had already been a raise when Marco Bognanni reraised, and to his immediate left Haykel Vidal cold four-bet well over 100,000. Our attention was briefly pulled away to something else, but when we returned the two players were at showdown, so we're assuming that Bognanni shipped and Vidal called.
Bognanni:
Vidal:
Board: ... ! ...
These were both pretty big stacks, and it took a long time to establish that Vidal was just about covered. They shook hands and Bognanni took possession of the monstrous pot - at around 1.3 million, he is our new chip leader.
It seems like every five minutes there is at least one dealer shouting "all-in and call" from somwhere across room. On the last two occasions I have caught such a hand in progress, it has involved one player holding ace-king and the other a small pair, with the pair coming out on top.
Pedro Javier Piazuelo Ferrero opened to 34,000 in early position and Jorge Lores made the call from the Small Blind before Juan Ramon Marquez Garcia shoved all-in from the Big Blind. Ferrero also moved all-in and forced Lores out of the pot. Ferrero tabled and Garcia tabled . The flop was giving Ferrero flush outs to go with his one over card. The turn was and river and Garcia doubled up and at the same time crippled Ferrero.
In the next hand Ferrero moved all-in and the action folded around to Garcia who called. Yet again Garcia had the best hand with against the qd] of Ferrero. The flop of crushed Ferrero and and were no consolation to the Spaniard.
Kristoffer Thorsson opened the action with a raise to 21,000 from late position and Federico Cipollini pushed all-in on the Button. Thorsson made the call.
A short raising war between Ben Warrington and Leandro Balotin saw the latter all in. It didn't look good from the start.
Warrington:
Balotin:
Board:
Warrington is still below average after that - it looked like around 300,000 while he was still stacking them up - but he's doing better than Balotin, who is busted.
Gilles Michaud has just saved himself a bunch of chips by not betting on a flop. The action folded to him in the small blind and he completed. Francesco Notaro checked.
Michaud checked, Notaro bet 35,000 and Michaud sat counting chips as if he was going to raise. In the end he mucked his hand with a wry smile, just as his opponent flashed .
