Kudos to Kudulis

Voitto Rintala - rocking
Voitto Rintala - rocking

Dutch Gus Hansen lookalikey Steven van Zadelhoff opened for 4,000 in early position only for Donelius Kudulis to shove for around 12,000 from mid position. Voitto Rintala, the most rockstar-ish man in the room, reshoved from the small blind, van Zadelhoff folded, and the two shovers were on their backs.

Kudulis: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Rintala: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Board: a no-nonsense {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Kudulis more than doubled, while Rintala's stack shrunk. They are on 30,000 apiece after that.

Saar Grapes

Ivan Demidov was facing a 10,000 bet on a {2-Spades} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs} flop from Martin Saar. The Russian though made the call and both then checked the {A-Diamonds} turn to see a {K-Hearts} river. Now Saar snap-bet 15,000 and Demidov stretched his arms in the air letting out a loud sigh before making a quick call.

Saar didn't want to show. Neither did Demidov, he wanted to see Saar's cards. Saar still didn't want to show. Demidov did nothing. Finally the dealer said, "Showdown!" and got Saar to turn over a very airy {J-Spades} {7-Spades} to which Demidov responded by showing {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} for two pair.

Demidov has about 160,000 while Saar is only on 35,000

In the Mozdzone

Mark Dalimore bet 8,000 at an {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, and Clayton Mozdzen flatted. Another player called all in for his last four black T100 chips. After several minutes of arguing over how much was in the side pot, it was time for the turn. It came the {9-Diamonds}, and Dalimore checked. Mozdzen moved all in, and Dalimore instantly folded. Time for showdown. Mozdzen held a pair of jacks, and the super shorty was at risk with {k-}{q-}. He didn't hit with the {6-Clubs} on the river, and Mozdzen picked up the knockout and a pot big enough to build him to 97,000.

Vinogrodskij Keeps the Short Stacked Blues at Bay

A brief raising war between Dmitry Bayramov (under the gun) and Andrej Vinogrodskij (small blind) resulted in Bayramov four-betting 24,500 - half of his stack - and Vinogrodskij five-betting all in for around 80,000 to cover Bayramov. There followed some very serious tanking from Bayramov, but he ultimately folded, leaving himself with an interesting sort of 15-big-blind stack.
