Day 3 Dawns

Chip monster and late nighter Jonathan Weekes
Chip monster and late nighter Jonathan Weekes

Good morning and welcome back to the Swissotel Tallinn where 84 players remain in the chase for the first ever Estonian EPT title.

Chip leader by a massive margin as we head into Day 3 is young Brit Jonathan Weekes. So far in his poker career, he's only enjoyed one EPT Main Event cash - 21st in London last year - although he also came second in a side event at EPT Copenhagen this year. Though he was spotted still at the PokerStars party at 4am this morning, he will presumably be hoping to go one better than second and take this down - and with 50% more chips than the next man, he's in fine shape to do so.

That next man, by the by, is none other than Ivan Demidov, whom you may remember from the 2008 WSOP Main Event. He came second then, and although he is in second place now, he will also be among those aiming for the top. Also representing Team PokerStars, though with rather fewer chips, is Luca Pagano. If he finals this, it will be his seventh - yes, seventh - EPT final. Other Team Pros still in the running include Arnaud Mattern, Michael Keiner, Katja Thater and Vadim Markushevski.

Before we get anywhere near that though, we have to get into the money. Only 56 of these folks are going to get paid, meaning that there will be tears before bedtime. Play should get back underway shortly, so watch this space.
