Zavorotnis Nixed

Vitalijs Zavorotnis has not had a good day, but it has been mercifully brief. He found {j-Clubs} {j-Hearts} , but Bassam Elnajjar found {a-Hearts} {a-Spades} . There was a distinct glimmer of hope for him on the {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} {q-Spades} flop, but the {3-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} river meant that the best hand held up, and Zavorotnis was reduced to just 4,000 chips, or two antes.

He called all in the very next hand to an under-the-gun raise from Mikko Jaatinen. It folded around to big blind Elnajjar who announced, "I feel lucky, can I open my cards?" but eventually Elnajjar folded, and Zavorotnis and Jaatinen went to showdown.
