Martin Hruby
Martin Hruby

We've seen a lot of limped/checked blind-on-blind confrontations today, and the latest one has just now been won by Martin Hruby.

Hruby limped in on the small blind and Konstantinos Nanos checked his option to see a {k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop for free. Hruby bet out 120,000, and Nanos called.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and Hruby checked this time. Nanos saw an opportunity and bet 200,000 - but Hruby promptly check-raised to 550,000 and it was enough to take the pot.

The Chip Leaders Clash

The two Chip Leaders have clashed at the final table and Team Pokerstars Pro Daniel Negreanu came out on top. This is how the action went down.

Konstantinos Nanos opened from under the gun making it 250,000 to play. Luca Cainelli made the call on the Button and sensing a good opportunity Negreanu made it 650,000 from the Small Blind. Nanos folded and Cainelli had a good think before making the call.

Flop: {q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}

Negreanu made the continuation bet of 750,000 and the pot had grown to 2,450,000. Cainelli had a little think before sliding his hand over the white line to signfify a fold.

Eiler Have That

Michael Eiler has seen his fortunes decline slightly today, but has never been quiet for long. He was back at it with his main sparring partner Daniel Negreanu just now, raising all in over Negreanu's preflop raise. The 1,950,000 more for Negreanu to call appeared too rich for his liking and he threw his hand away.

Two smaller, preflop pots were taken by shortest stack Martin Hruby, who's stopped shoving the whole lot in now that his total chip count is climbing towards two million, and instead took one big blind from Nanos by raising to 265k from the small blind, and one set of blinds and antes with a cutoff raise to 215k finding no resistance.

Who Needs a Commentator?

Could Have a 2nd Job as a Commentator

Who needs a commentator when Team Pokerstars Pro Daniel Negreanu is in the house? He is looking very comfortable indeed despite losing a pot to Konstantinos Nanos.

Nanos opened from the cut-off to 260,000 and Negreanu defended his Big Blind. The flop was {6-Diamonds} {a-Clubs} {5-Hearts}. Negreanu checked and Nanos bet 280,000 and Negreanu made the call. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and again Negreanu checked the action over to Nanos who fired his second barrel worth 485,000 and again Negreanu was ready and waiting to make the call. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Negreanu checked for the third time.

"Don't go too crazy. Make it like 650,000. No more than 650,000 so I can call." Negreanu said.

Nanos didn't feel he needed to take the advice of Negreanu and bet 750,000 prompting Negreanu to keep his word and fold.

"You would have called if I bet 650,000?" asked Nanos.

"No." said Negreanu.

Eiler Sinking Further

Michael Eiler limped his small blind and Luca Cainelli checked in the big; the two of them saw a {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} on which neither saw fit to bet.

Eiler checked again on the {3-Hearts} turn and this time Cainelli bet. Eiler called the 175,000, before checking for a third time on the {2-Clubs} river. This time the bet from Cainelli was 320,000 and again Eiler called, albeit after a somewhat longer pause this time. Cainelli turned over {10-Hearts}{3-Spades} which prompted a rather surprised look from Eiler. He mucked, and Cainelli took the pot.

All or Nothing

The five-handed action has wound down a little - the big stacks biding their time and the short ones, like Martin Hruby, with just one preflop decision. He didn't even get that a minute ago - but he was probably unconcerned as it involved his getting a walk and a free 90,000 chips.

Hruby pushed in preflop over the top of a Daniel Negreanu open next hand, but the chip leader folded and he took another small but important pot.

The only other hand of note involved Daniel Negreanu and Luca Cainelli blind on blind - Cainelli limped and Negreanu checked preflop, then they checked down a {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades} board. Negreanu won with king-high (showing {K-}{4-} to Cainelli's {8-}{5-}).

Nanos Vs. Eiler; Nanos Wins

A limp-checked blind-on-blind affair led Konstantinos Nanos (small blind) and Michael Eiler (big) to see a {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. Nanos checked and Eiler bet 130,000 - but Nanos now check-raised to 475,000. Eiler thought about for a few moments, riffling all the while, but eventually gave it up. Nanos showed him the {8-Diamonds} for his trouble, and took the pot.
