Another Break Folks
It's that time again...

Ion Pavel and Jose Furtado have both been eliminated, the latter running into and failing to spike.
There was almost 90,000 in the pot when we arrived and a board reading was spread out on the felt. It looked as though Lauri Korhonen had checked; either way Shander de Vries was betting 36,000 and leaving Korhonen with a clearly torturous decision. He blinked a lot, and after a while started to point accusingly at the pot, apparently making some complex mental calculations involving said pot and his remaining 85,000 stack. Eventually he decided to let it go, and de Vries is now up to 220,000.
Ben Carpenter opened for 10,500 and to his immediate left Isabelle Mercier reraised to 30,000. It folded back around to Carpenter who disappeared into the tank; when he emerged he quietly announced, "I'm all in."
"How much do you have?" Mercier asked instantly. It looked to us as though Carpenter had her slightly covered, and she spent a long time considering it before she folded. She's back down below the 100,000 mark now.
Team Pokerstars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier has been moved tables and now finds himself in the company of Bansi, Frankland and Neuville. There hasn't been much time for him to settle into the swing of things as this hand shows.
We catch the action on the turn. The board is and ElkY has checked the action to Frankland who has made a bet of around ~30,000. ElkY calls the bet and the dealer drops the down on the river and again ElkY checks.
"How much do you have left?" Frankland asks.
"About 150,000." Replies ElkY.
Frankland then sprays 53,800 in chips across the line. EkY thinks for a while before making the call.
"You are good" Says Frankland.
His call draws a strange silence from everyone around the table and even the few people clapping are not connecting their hands.

In the very next hand Pierre Neuville raises to 11,000 and Frankland three-bets from behind making it 27,000 to play. The action folds around to Neuville.
"Time" says Frankland immediately.
Neuville looked physically stunned and then amazingly the dealer did call for an official to start the count despite Neuville not even having a second to ponder his decision. A confused Neuville simply mucked his hand and headed off to the break.
Team Pokerstars Pro Matthias de Meulder is not in his seat and we cannot find him anywhere in the tournament area so we will assume for the moment that he has been eliminated. If he resurfaces we will let you know.
Michael Fratty, who you may remember being penalised yesterday for excessive celebrations yesterday, has been at it again. The entire room was alerted to his jumping and shouting as his made a boat Valentin Messina's on a board to eliminate the latter.
This time, Fratty was only given a warning, however Thomas Kremser pointed out that any further action would be met by a two-round penalty. We'll keep our eyes open for any further Fratty-based eruptions on the tournament floor.
We arrived just in time to see Kirill Zapletin getting his last in from the small blind against EPT Monte Carlo High Roller runner up Olivier Busquet.

Board: a too-little-too-late
Our attention was drawn to a gathering pack of media hounds surrounding table eight.
The board displayed . The two players that were the focus of everyones attention were Fabrice Soulier and Loic Bobillier-Monnot. Soulier had bet 30,000 on the river and everyone was waiting for Bobillier-Monnot to act and when he did it was significant because he plonked a very big stack of grey chips across the line easily approaching the 90,000 mark.
"I call." Soulier said immediately.
Soulier turned over for trips and Loic Bobillier-Monnot briefly showed for a stone cold bluff.
Soulier was shaking as he added Loic Bobillier-Monnot's chips to his already impressive stack. We estimate his stack to now be ~ 684,000.
Alex Wice has taken another, albeit smaller, hit. He raised to 10,000 and got one caller - Emile Petit on the button. They saw a flop and undeterred, Wice bet out 12,000. Petit called that too and they saw another card.
The turn was the and this time Wice check-called 23,000 from Petit. Both players checked the river and Wice rather unhappily turned over . Petit revealed an actually pretty premium and increased to 385,000. Wice is now nowhere near the chip lead on 320,000.
