Welcome to Day 4 of the PokerStars.Fr EPT Deauville

Welcome back to Day 4 of the EPT here in Deauville where Raphael Kroll leads the field of 90 players as we play down to the final three tables. The Frenchman, who recently finished second to Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst in a big European tournament sits with 829,000, just 12,000 chips ahead of nearest rival Fabian Holling.

Elsewhere, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier is the only former EPT winner still in the tournament, a fact which surprised him as much as the rest of us. Double bracelet winner Praz Bansi is also still in the hunt, as is EPT Vilamoura runner-up Martin Jacobson and former chip leader David Sonelin.

All remaining players are now guaranteed €9,000 but the really significant pay jumps are not until the final two tables, meaning we'll be expecting a lot more action in the early stages of today. This also marks the last day we will be in the Centre International de Deauville since the tournament will be moving back into the casino on days five and six as the EPT builds to a climax.
