Sunami Overpowers Kilarjian

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

James Kilarjian is out, having nursed a start-of-day short stack and found a favourable spot for a shove with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} on the cutoff. He'd raised initially (4k), then found button Surinder Sunar three-betting him to 10,000. He shoved for a further 33,000 and Sunar made the call with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. This quickly overtook Kilarjian, the board coming {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and the exiting American left with a gentlemanly, "Good luck, man."

Czech-Raise the River

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Jan Bendik
Jan Bendik

Jan Bendik, who finalled the EPT in Prague back in December of last year, fired out 8,000 on the turn of a {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Spades} board against Carter Phillips (former EPT Barcelona winner) - the American youngster making the call to see the {6-Hearts} river. Bendik checked and Phillips bet 14,000 but then the Czech player check-raised to 34,000. Phillips did not waste too long in throwing out another four yellow 5k chips, but he mucked when Bendik turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Back From the Brink, Man

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A big three-way all in preflop battle ended with victory for Torsten Brinkmann, after he got Anton Thorarinsson and Abel Cana De Pedro to put all their chips in the middle.

Brinkmann: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Thorarinsson: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Pedro: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Brinkmann scooped up the pot, he has about 70,000 now.

Xuan Won

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu is up to 143,000 after a river move all-in on a board of {8-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{A-Spades} (the second ace being the river card). She had a just-over-pot amount left - 73,000 into a 70,000 pot, which gave her opponent Dmitry Gromov occasion for a long think. He had 180,000 total and this bet was not peanuts - he finally let it go and she took it down with no show. Her table immediately broke so he'll have to wait until the break (just starting) to quiz her about it.

Pierre Neuville

An unknown gentleman raised and in the small blind Pierre Neuville reraised to 24,000 with just pocket change behind. The raiser called, and then the rest of Neuville's chips went in on the flop. An easy double up to around 60,000 for the Belgian.

Neuville: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Original Raiser: {9-Spades}{10-Spades}

Board: {4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Juan Maceiras
Juan Maceiras

A gentleman in early position opened to 3,100 and the gentleman in the hijack called before Juan Maceiras reraised to 7,800. The original raiser called, but Hijack Gentleman now shoved for 42,700. Maceiras called, Original Raiser got out of their way and they were on their backs.

Maceiras: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Hijack Gentleman: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Board: {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Hijack Gentleman doubled up, and the Spanish Team PokerStars Pro is now down to 160,000 - still above average, but no longer among the big stacks.
