Good morning and welcome back to the Casino San Remo where things are on the verge of getting serious.
Yesterday we finished up with 164 players - that's just 20 places shy of the money. In the lead as we head towards the bubble is young Greek Georgios Manousos. After an action-packed Day 2 which saw the chip lead change hands repeatedly between Ruben Visser, Carter Phillips, Simeon Naydenov, Victor Ramdin and Kevin Vandersmissen, Manousos is the man to beat with 573,900. His dad, who was enthusiastically railing him yesterday and sneaking into the tournament area to check up whenever possible, must have already exploded with pride. We hope he's OK.
Also still in the running are Fabrice Soulier, Joe Cada, Max Heinzelmann, Ted Forrest and Vanessa Selbst. Five former EPT champions remain in the field - David Vamplew, Roberto Romanello, Carter Phillips, Max Lykov and Nicolas Chouity - meaning that we may yet see someone do the double.
