Eugene Katchalov opened to 1,400 and Alexandros Lianis made the call in the big blind to see a flop of 
which both players checked. Lianis fired out 2,650 on the 
turn and the Team PokerStars Pro made the call to see the 
river.
Lianis slowed down and checked, Katchalov studied the board and then fired out 3,500 and Lianias quickly mucked.
As usual on Day 2 there has been a swaythe of pre flop all-ins and calls. Here is one of those match ups.

Jamie Rosen just lost a good chunk of his stack, Carlos Lopez had opened to 1,250 and Rosen three-bet in late position to 2,675. Lopez, in no mood to be pushed around, moved all in for 15,325 and Rosen thought for about 30 seconds and made the call but looked sheepish when he saw how far behind he was.

Table 19 is chocked full of poker superstars and so it made a perfect setting to start our day. The table was buzzing with plenty of talking and laughter and most of it was coming out of the mouth of McLean Karr. When the first card was dealt the noise was sucked out from the table and replaced with an eerie silence. The action folded around to Karr and his game face was ON. He was in the small blind and he raised to 1,700 and Jude Ainsworth had a pensive thought before releasing his hand.
In the next hand Kenny Hallaert opened up the action in the cutoff making it 1,300 to play and once again it was Captain Karr who won the hand, a three-bet for 2,950 on the button putting Hallaert in his place.
Hallaert then picked up another hand in the hijack. He raised to 1,300 and this time Ainsworth three-bet to 3,600 on the button. The action folded around to Hallaert and he moved all-in for around 20,000 and Ainsworth called. Hallaert was the player at risk of elimination.

Of the original 336 players only 232 remain and the German players are leading the way. Mario Puccini is the chip leader with 159,150 chips and compatriot Julian Herold is in 3rd place with 138,425. Sandwiched in between them is Team PokerStars Pro Toni Judet who finished Day 1b with 143,500 chips.
Keep your eyes on McLean Karr and Roman Makhlin who are two very talented centurians and there are also a few former EPT Champions who have stocked up on enough provisions during Day 1a and 1b and they are Ruper Elder has 82,700, Nicolas Chouity has 80,900 and Kevin MacPhee has 74,500. Other former EPT champions further down the pecking order include Mats Gavatin (45,475), David Vamplew (34,050), Kent Lundmark (31,100) & Roberto Romanello (20,300).
