Pierre Mothes v Dimitris Mpinas

Both Pierre Mothes and Dimitris Mpinas were all-in and it was Mothes who was at risk of elimination.

Mothes{A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Mpinas{J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Board: {10-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {4-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {A-Spades}

When the final card hit the deck both players were shouting and screaming as they headed off into separate directions. We do not understand Greek but we are pretty dure Mpinas blamed the Dealer for the loss of his flip.

Mpinas now with all the work to do as we approach the break.

David Elyashar Blows Up!

David Elyashar has glided nicely into second place this morning, but he has just had the most amazing blow up. The action folded around to Elyashar in the small blind and he made up the loose change. Florian Schleps was seated in the big blind and he raised it up to 30,000. Back to Elyashar and he raised it right back up to 70,000. Schleps wasn't too concerned because his next move was to raise to 150,000. Elyashar moved all-in and a rather stunned looking Schleps made the call. He was even more stunned when he saw the hand of Elyashar.

Schleps{Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Elyashar{8-Spades} {5-Clubs}

Board: {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {K-Spades} {4-Spades}

Schleps had quickly forgotten about his earlier loss to Elder while Elyashar had just undone all of his hard work in one moment of madness.

Board: {10-Spades} {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}

Heseding Climbs, Mustafov Doubles.

Fahredin Mustafov has doubled through David Elyashar with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} against {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} after a board of {4-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to move back up over the quarter-million mark.

Hauke Heseding had fired out 25,000 on a {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop only to see chip leader Charalampos Kapernopoulos min-check raise him to 50,000. Undeterred, Heseding made it 125,000 and Kapernopoulos quickly called. Both players checked the {4-Clubs} turn and Kapernopoulos then quickly called a 100,000 bet on the {Q-Spades} river, Heseding showed him {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, the Greek player grimaced and flashed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} into the muck.

Heseding tanked for a minute before making the call with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, Petleshkov showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and picked up a gutshot to go with his flush draw on the {10-Hearts} turn, but the river was the {6-Hearts} and he was eliminated instead.

Heseding moved up to 560,000

Jose Maria Felices Eliminated in 23rd Place (€8,700)

Jose Maria Felices moved all-in for 71,000 in early position and the action folded around to our chip leader Charalampos Kapernopoulos in the small blind who shrugged his shoulders and made the call. The big blind folded and we had a showdown with Felices in danger of elimination.

Felices{K-Clubs} {7-Spades}
Kapernopoulos{Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}

Felices was ahead but everyone was aware just how good the chip leader was running. This hand was no exception!

Board: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

The ten on the river sealing the fate of Felices.

Pocket Jacks Are Very Good To Rupert Elder

Just one minute after we saw Pim van Riet lose with pocket jacks, Rupert Elder shows him how it is done.

Florian Schleps made the raise from early position and Rupert Elder moved all-in for 234,000. The action folded back around to Schleps and he made the call and had Elder covered.

Elder{J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}
Schleps{Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}

Once again there was no sweat as Elder nailed the flop!

Board: {J-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {5-Spades}

That is the difference between winning an EPT and not!
