Brito's Run-Good Continues

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The EPT's current Player of the Year, Fernando Brito, has been on an amazing run for the past 18 months and it looks set to continue if today is anything to go by. He always seems to have the goods whenever the chips go flying in and that was certainly the case in a hand over on Table 1.

Mathew Frankland opened the betting by making it 900 to play from late position. The action folded around to Brito, in the small blind, and he made the call as did Marton Czuczor in the big blind. The dealer put out the {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop and all three players checked. The {Q-Spades} saw Brito lead out for 2,200, Czuczor quickly called but Frankland got out of the way.

The river saw the {6-Spades} make an appearance and Brito once again bet, this time 3,000 and was quickly called by Czuczor. Brito turned over {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for trip nines, and Czuczor mucked.
