Ville Salmi Gets Aggressive

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ville Salmi has been trying to throw his weight around his table with some aggressive moves. On a flop of {q-Clubs} {j-Clubs} {10-Hearts} he checked the action to poor Phidias Georgious who bet 2,650 from the button. Salmi asked him for a count and Georgious moved out of the way to give Salmi a good look at his stack, which was around 10,000. Salmi then flung around 25,000 into the middle and Georgious folded his hand.

Salmi was still organising his chip stack when he paused briefly to check his cards and made a raise of 950 from early position. There were two callers before Team PokerStars pro Richard Toth made the three-bet, we are unsure what the actual amount was but he certainly had 3,800 in chips in front of him. Salmi then four-bet to 6,250 forcing the two callers out of the pot and everyone stared at Toth. Toth dragged his original 3,800 back into his arms and replaced it with 6,250 for the call.

Flop: {6-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Spades}

Toth checked to Salmi who bet 5,025 and Toth called.

The turn of the {q-Hearts} and the river of the {k-Diamonds} were both checked and when the cards were over-turned it was Toth who won the pot.

Toth{a-Hearts} {k-Spades}
Salmi{a-Diamonds} {q-Clubs}

Salmi ~ 25,000
Toth ~ 60,000
