Jacobson Wins Consecutive Pots

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Martin Jacobson, Season 7's Best Online Qualifier, has been near the top of the chip counts all day long and he still finds himself up there after winning two consecutive pots whilst in the blinds.

In the first hand Jacobson check-called Lasse Sorensen's 5,000 bet on a board reading {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and then both players checked the {8-Diamonds} on the river. Jacobson showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} which was enough to scoop the pot.

The very next hand everyone folded to Ville Kouri in the cutoff and he made it 1,100 to play. The button and small blind folded but Jacobson had other ideas and he put three red chips totalling 3,000 into the pot. Kouri eventually called and it was heads up to the {Q-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Jacobson continued his aggression by betting 2,600 and after 30 seconds Kouri called.

The turn was the {J-Hearts} and Jacobson sat statuesque for almost two minutes before springing into action and firing a bet of 6,700 which was enough to force a fold from Kouri.

Jacobson is now up to 69,000
