Nichlas Mattson Nails a Straight

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

While staring at Annette Obrestad and thinking how cool she looked in her shades we noticed some action on table 22. It involved Vitalijs Zavorotnijs, who was under the gun, and Nichlas Mattson who had the position in the hand. The board was {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {k-Spades} {6-Clubs} and there was a pretty hefty pot to fight for. Zavorotnijs checked to Mattson and the Swede bet 2,800 and Latvian duly called. The final card was the {2-Diamonds} and Zavorotnijs check-called a 7,300 bet by Mattson. Mattson flipped over the {7-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} for the straight and Zavorotnijs angrily flung his cards unseen to the dealer. Mattson who has four six-figure live tournament scores to his name is looking good with 45,000 chips.
