We saw Liv Boeree giving the news of her demise to Melanie Weisner, but we weren't close enough to eavesdrop very well. It sounded like she tried to isolate against a short-stacked shove, but she got re-shoved on and had to take her stand. Whatever her opponent had, it ended up better than her hand, and the charming Team PokerStars Pro (who won this thing in 2010) is out.
Michael Benvenuti raised to 5,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen reraised to 12,000. Action folded back to Benvenuti and he moved all in for 61,400. Jorgensen snapped.

The flop came down and Benvenuti stood up from his chair. The turn was the and the river the , giving him a wheel. When he saw the wheel, Benvenuti was in disbelief. He sat back down to collect his chips while Jorgensen couldn't believe what had happened.
We were scheduled to play "six or seven" levels today, depending on the pace. That pace has been blistering up until now, and we've reduced our field down to just 209 at the moment.
We're six minutes from the end of the fifth level of the day, and we're still not sure how long we're playing. There is some discussion going on right now between some of the staff members, and we hope they'll make an announcement as the players return back from their break. Our hunch is they'll want to play the full seven levels, but with four days of play still remaining, we could probably stop at any point now and be just fine.
We'll let you know as soon as we find out; the players are awfully curious to know how to plan their evenings in San Remo, too.
Word on the street is we'll play two more levels tonight before calling for the bags. We should be closing in on the money bubble by that point.
And the crowd goes wild...
...Not really. But at least it will make for some drastically short days for the remainder of the week. We still have three full days to shrink the field to the final table.
