Keld Volquardsen raised to 40,000 on the button, Steve O'Dwyer called in the small blind and Aage Ravn squeezed from the big blind making it 100,000 to play. A familiar pattern, but one that Volquardsen was not interested in exploring further as he folded. O'Dwyer was far more curious and he made the call in the small blind.
Flop:
O'Dwyer checked to Ravn and he moved 100,000 into the middle. O'Dwyer was giving him the good old "O'Dwyer Stare" and Ravn looked so laid back we thought he was going to fall off his chair. O'Dwyer made the call and we moved on to the turn.
Turn:
O'Dwyer once again checked, and this time Ravn moved 200,000 chips into the middle. This pot was starting to get heated and O'Dwyer knew that a call was going to leave him with a tough decision on the river. Ravn leaned back in his chair and as he did so O'Dwyer released his hand.
Michael Tureniec is really in trouble now after Lauri Varonen made a great river call against him.
The two were heads-up to a flop and Varonen bet, called a raise from the Swede. Both players checked the turn to head to the river. The Finn checked again and called after Tureniec bet 78,000.
Tureniec opened for ten high and lost to Varonen's for third pair.
Mickey Petersen has just doubled through Michael Tureniec and now has just shy of one million chips.
A preflop raising broke out that resulted in Petersen being all in and at risk with against Tureniec's . The flop catapulted Petersen into the lead and the turn kept him there. The river completed the hand and Petersen's come back from 1.5BB yesterday is complete!
Spencer Hudson moved all-in from the cutoff and Jacob Rasmussen had a long think from the big blind. "Live and let live," said Rasmussen before folding.
Hudson raised to 25,000 from first position, Keld Volquardsen three-bet to 75,000 and Hudson folded.
Pierre Neuville has more than 1,200,000 chips and he is using them to good effect. Just now he opened the betting to 29,000 from late position and found some resistance in the shape of Lauri Varonen who three-bet him to 83,000, as he had done on a number of occasions. Instead this time Neuville four-bet to 228,000 and after a little Hollywooding Varonen let his hand go.
