Did Kojo Have the Nuts?

Freddy Deeb seemed to think so in a hand against the man from Japan. The two were heads-up to the turn where the board read {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

Debb led for 2,000 but was raised up to 5,000 by Kunimaro Kojo. Deeb thought for minute and opened folded {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}!

Peak Ever for Moorman

We caught up with Chris Moorman en route back to his table and he told us that he has "Peak ever" stack in today's tournament.

There was an early position raise to 1,200 that Moorman clicked up to 1,900. The button and original raiser called to a {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Moorman's 2,400 c-bet was only called by the button, who also called a 5,400 bullet on the {3-Hearts} turn. Moorman shoved on the {a-} river and his opponent folded.

Richard Toth Needs The River To Double Up

We joined the action to witness Michael Schurpf raising to 3,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Richard Toth moving all-in for 10,600. The original raiser folded and Schurpf made the call.

Toth{A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Schurpf{3-Hearts} {3-Clubs}

The tiny treys were looking so vulnerable, and it got worse when the flop added any ten to the number of outs that Toth had - {K-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. The turn of {J-Hearts} gave Toth even more hope and the {K-Spades} on the river confirmed the double up and left Schurpf very short on 9,000.

No Need to get Yourself in a Piccoioli

Bryan Piccioli played out a hand with the dangerous Kenny Hallaert and JP Kelly whilst out of position, and understandably played it safe.

Hallaert raised from mid position and was called by Kelly (hijack) and Piccioli (SB) en route to a {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. Hallaert's 1,800 c-bet was called by both players to see the {5-Hearts} turn. Hallaert's 5,550 bet was only called by Piccioli before both checked through the {3-Clubs} river.

Piccioli tabled {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Hallaert mucked.

De Meulder Finds Unlikey Way to Double

Matthias De Meulder is a happy bunny after he was so sure he was out of the door.

The action folded around to Alexander Uskov in the small who completed. The Team PokerStars Pro checked his big blind option so the two could see a {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop.

De Meulder bet 600 when Uskov checked to him but the Russian went for the old check-raise all-in. The Belgian was covered and had a decision to make for his 10,775 five stack. After a while thinking he called with {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for top pair and low flush draw.

Uskov had him crushed with {10-Spades}{3-Spades} for a made flush but lost out when the board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} to make a running full house for De Meulder.
