De Meulder Wheeled Out the Door

It was sad end for the last Team PokerStars Pro in the field.

Matthias De Meulder was sat in the big blind with 190,000 and faced a cut-off raise from Jason Wheeler. He moved all-in and Wheeler called.

De Meulder opened pocket queens, in great shape to double against the American's pocket jacks. The board ran {j-}{9-}{8-}{a-}{4-} to make Wheeler a set, the second time today he's busted a Team Pro who has held an over pair.

Although Matthias' game seems to have been a little that way all day, as he explained to Lynn Gilmartin earlier:

Gurtovoy Takes on Buddiga

Anatoly Gurtovoy raised to 20,000 on the button and Pratyush Buddiga three-bet to 53,000 in the small blind. Ziv Caspi suddenly found an interest in the hand from the big blind and both players stared at him intently until he decided to fold. Almost immediately, Buddiga's eyes preyed on Gurtovoy and the Russian made the call.

Flop: {J-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Diamonds}

Buddiga bet 47,000 and Gurtovoy raised to 74,000. Some of the players motioned to the dealer that the raise size was incorrect and Gurtovoy was asked to make it 94,000. Gurtovoy did as he was told, but it was irrelevant, as Buddiga mucked his hand.

Cailly On a Roll, Busts Another Player

Lucille Cailly's level has gone from good to great after she busted another player, her friend and fellow Frenchman Bruno Launais.

The action folded to her on the button and she opened to 20,000. Launais was in the small blind and shoved for 140,000. Cailly asked for a count and made a reluctant looking call, even though she had a strong strong hand.

Cailly: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Launais: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

Launais was all smiles as he was led off to get his money.

The Fives Get Through For Abouaf

Anatoly Gurtovoy raised in early position before Dan Abouaf moved all-in from the cutoff for 145,000. Three folds later and Gurtovoy made the call to give us yet another showdown.

Abouaf{5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}
Gurtovoy{A-Clubs} {K-Spades}

Board: {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {5-Spades}

The tiny pair stands strong and Abouaf doubles up.

Cailly Eliminates Larichev

Lucille Cailly and Oleg Larichev both moved their chips across the line and it was Larichev at risk of elimination.

Cailly{10-Spades} {10-Hearts}
Larichev{A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

Board: {7-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}

So the tens held strong for Cailly and she is now up to 685,000 and has quite an impressive rail cheering her on.

Launais Jams On Makhija

Bruno Launais three-bet shoved from the button for 125,000 total after Amit Makhija raised to 22,000 from under the gun. Play folded back to Makhija and he took some time before folding his hand.
