The Mizzi Machine

Sorel Mizzi is looking ominous out there today. He looks fit as a fiddle on the outside and his game seems to be on point. Here he is taking a hand away from Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov to stretch his lead in this tournament.

Mizzi made a standard open before Katchalov three-bet to 21,000 one seat to his left. Mizzi made the call and the pair were soon staring at a flop of {8-Spades} {2-Spades} {2-Diamonds}. Mizzi check-called a 16,000 bet and then did the same at the sight of the {J-Diamonds} on the turn; this time for 36,000. The final card was the {3-Clubs}, both players checked and Mizzi picked up the pot with {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}. Katchalov mucked {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.

Leon Tsoukernik: Freerolling

Leon Tsoukernik the 2012 craps champion of the world
Leon Tsoukernik the 2012 craps champion of the world

Intrepid reporter Donnie Peters told you earlier how Leon Tsoukernik won around €70,000 playing craps during the dinner break before being eliminated at the hands of Philipp Gruissem. He just told everyone he will be right back after winning his second bullet, once again on the craps table, and to his credit a few minutes later he returned with over €100,000 of craps money to buy his second bullet.

Easy life!

Leon Tsoukernik is Back Playing Craps!

Leon Tsoukernik arrived underneath the rotor blades of a helicopter and he has been spinning ever since. Let's just recap the day in the life of Tsoukernik.

He arrives via helicopter and takes his seat in a €100,000 game. He gets into a conversation with Tony G about what types of jets they should purchase before giving out advice to the rest of the table on how to make millions. During the dinner break while everyone else is eating Tsoukernik plays craps and wins €70,000. He sits back down and is eliminated by Philipp Gruissem, Not to be deterred, Tsoukernik, takes his €70,000 back to the craps table and spins it up to over €100,000 before returning to buy-in for his second attempt at the poker.

No sooner is the ink dry on the second €100,000 ticket, Leon Tsoukernik is back playing craps! He opened to 30,000 in first position holding {3-} {3-}, Isaac Haxton moved all-in for 165,000 holding {A-} {Q-}, Tsoukernik called, the board helped out Haxton and Tsoukernik was in a spot of bother.

Then on a board of {K-} {Q-} {6-} {7-} he moved all-in over a Tom Marchese bet holding {A-} {7-} and Marchese called with {K-} {10-} and that was the end of that!

Will we see him again tomorrow? Who knows but we hope so.

A Tale of Three Rivers; Trickett is Gone

Sam Trickett will be having river nightmares tonight
Sam Trickett will be having river nightmares tonight

Earlier we brought you news that Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier had hit his flush, on the river, to take 100,000 out of the Trickett stack. Then we heard that Trickett and Phil Ivey decided to get it all-in pre flop in a 500,000 pot. Tricket was holding {10-} {10-} and Ivey held {A-} {K-}. You've guessed it! A king on the river reducing Trickett to chip dust.

With Trickett on death's doorstep Patrik Antonius raised to 12,000, Trickett moved all-in for 19,000 and Antonius called.

Trickett{6-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}
Antonius{10-Clubs} {8-Clubs}

Board: {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {4-Spades} {K-Clubs}

Trickett was now up to 40,000 and they all went in during the next hand against Sorel Mizzi.

Mizzi{J-Hearts} {9-Clubs}
Trickett{A-Spades} {6-Spades}

Board: {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {9-Spades}

A third terrible river card for Sam Trickett and he was sent to the rail.
