Mike McDonald raised to 8,000 in the cutoff and when the action folded around to Govert Metaal in the big blind he three-bet to 28,000. McDonald decided to make the call and within no time both players were at the flop.
Flop:
Metaal bet 36,000, McDonald bet 77,500, Metaal moved all-in for 134,500 and McDonald called. When the hands were overturned Metaal was ahead but could still be eliminated from the competition.
Bill Perkins has just returned to the game with his second bullet fully cocked and ready to fire. He has decided to sit to the left of Jonathan Duhamel, whom Perkins has singled out as the Table Captain.
"I want my chips back...now we can have some fun," said Perkins.
Patrik Antonius raised to 8,000 on the button, Phil Ivey called in the small blind as did Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in the big blind. All three players checked on a flop of and the betting action started at the sight of the on the turn. Ivey checked, ElkY bet 12,500, Antonius called and Ivy folded. The final card was the and ElkY liked it because he moved all-in. The statue-like Antonius also called and we had a showdown, albeit a little bit of a damp squid, because both players held for a split pot.
From the cutoff seat, Masa Kagawa raised to 9,000. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu called from the button and fellow Team Pro Vanessa Selbst reraised to 28,000 from the big blind. Both Kagawa and Negreanu made the call and the flop came down . Selbst bet 34,000 and Kagawa folded. Negreanu raised all in for around 150,000 and Selbst folded.
We picked up the action on the flop with about 50,000 chips already in the middle and Sorel Mizzi pitted against Scott Seiver. Mizzi fired 27,500 and Seiver raised all in. He had Mizzi covered and Mizzi had 299,000 behind, so this was a big raise. Mizzi knew that and even said it out loud while he thought. Eventually, he made the call.

Seiver:
The turn was the and river the . Mizzi's aces held up and he doubled through Seiver, who was left with under 100,000 in chips.
Leon Tsoukernik has just busted. After Philipp Gruissem raised to 9,000 from middle position, Leon Tsoukernik reraised all in for 61,500 from the big blind. After tanking for a bit and having a friendly chat with Tsoukernik, Gruissem made the call holding the . Tsoukernik held a dominating , but the board ran out and busted him.
Upon leaving, Tsoukernik said he was heading over to the craps table, where he told the table he won €70,000 on dinner break. He also said that he would see everyone tomorrow, so he may still be planning to re-enter the event. We'll see if he does and keep you posted.
Sam Trickett raised to 8,000, under the gun, and Phil Ivey called on the button. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospeller was short in the small blind and he saw it as a good opportunity to get his chips in the middle. In they went, and Trickett asked for a count. The dealer confirmed it as 102,000 and Trickett moved enough chips in the middle to scare off Phil Ivey and we had a showdown with ElkY at risk of elimination.
ElkY
Trickett
So Trickett had ElkY in a spot of bother, but as we know in poker, things can change quite quickly.
Flop:
ElkY picked up a flush draw.
Turn:
ElkY needed a heart or a ten or he was out.
River:
The heart saved ElkY on the river and as usual Trickett took it all in his stride.
