Martirosyan Busts Jaka; Jaka Off To Reload

From under the gun, David Martirosyan raised to 700. Timothy Adams three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack seat before Jim McCrink flatted on the button. Faraz Jaka flat-called out of the small blind and action moved back to Martirosyan, the original raiser.

Martirosyan reraised to 7,100 with a four-bet and that folded out both Adams and McCrink. Jaka studied, though, and he studied long and hard. Eventually, Jaka moved all in for approximately 35,000 and Martirosyan snap-called.

Martirosyan tabled the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and was ahead of Jaka's {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. From there, the board ran out {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Jaka was off to the registration desk to reload. Martirosyan climbed to about 90,000 in chips.

No Silver Lining

Steve Silverman was just eliminated after he was all in on the river of a {3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} only to run into Ivan Arnau Roy's {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} in a nasty cooler.

Mizzi Doubles Against the Nut Low

Sorel Mizzi fired out a bet of 1,400 on a {7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board, Alexander Roumeliotis made the call before Reza Mostafavi made it 7,500. Mizzi called but the Swede folded before the {10-Hearts} came on the turn.

Mizzi checked and Mostafavi set him all in, Mizzi called instantly.

Mostafavi: {3-Spades}{2-Spades}
Mizzi: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The Canadian had turned the nuts but he still had to sweat a trey or deuce on the river but instead the {J-Hearts} came, confirming Mizzi's double up.

Smith's Pair Is Better

Dan Smith, winner of the EPT Barcelona €50,000 Super High Roller, check-called a bet of 3,100 on the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop against Chris Brammer before seeing the {Q-Spades} land on the turn. Both payers checked and they also both checked the {6-Spades} on the river.

"One pair," said Brammer, before Smith waited for him to show the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Smith turned up the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a better pair and won the pot.
