Mora, Mora, Mora, How Do You Like It? How Do You Like It?

A double up for Carlos Mora, he check-raised all in for about 130,000 over the top of a 20,000 bet from Andrew Lichtenberger on a board reading {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

"LuckyChewy" made the call and they were on their backs.

Mora: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Lichtenberger: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}

A {4-Spades} on the turn rid the room of any possible tension allowing Mora to double up after the {7-Clubs} river.

One for Bilokur

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Alex Bilokur raised to 20,000. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier called from the big blind and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn brought the {J-Clubs} and Grospellier fired 27,000. Bilokur called and the river was the {Q-Clubs}. Grospellier checked and Bilokur fired 77,000. Grospellier folded and Bilokur won the pot.

Reinkemeier Doubles Through Kristijonas

From under the gun, Tobias Reinkemer raised to 20,000. Kristijonas Andrulis made the call from the big blind and the flop produced the {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Andrulis led for 18,000 and Reinkemeier called to see the turn.

On the turn, the dealer added the {3-Diamonds} to the board. Andrulis checked and Reinkemeier bet 40,000. Andrulis check-raised to 150,000 and Reinkemeier went into the tank. After a couple minutes of concentrated studying, he shoved. Andrulis snap-called, but did so with the worst of it as he held the {J-Spades}{10-Spades} to Reinkemeier's {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades} and Reinkemeier won the pot.

JC Alvarado Bubbles the Bubble

Alex Bilokur
Alex Bilokur

JC Alvarado raised to 20,000 from the button and Alex Bilokur raised to 55,000 in the small blind. Alvarado made the call to see a flop of {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Bilokur led for 35,000 and Alvarado moved all in only to be quickly called by the Russian.

Bilokur: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Alvarado: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {Q-Clubs} on the turn gave Alvarado two pair but it made Bilokur a straight, the former needed another queen or ten on the river to survive. The board paired but it was the {K-Diamonds} and Bilokur jumped into the chip lead.

Derkowski Bubbles EPT Barcelona €10,000 High Roller

Grzegorz Derkowski
Grzegorz Derkowski

After Laurent Polito raised from under the gun to 20,000, action folded to the shortest stack in the tournament, Grzegorz Derkowski on the button. Derkowski took a few moments, then reraised all in for 123,000. Following the two blinds getting out of the way, Polito called.

Polito was in prime position to burst the bubble as his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} dominated the {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for Derkowski.

The flop, turn and river ran out {J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and left Derkowski second best in the hand. That meant his tournament was over and all the remaining players were into the money.

Let's Take a Vote

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Following the elimination of Grzegorz Derkowski on the bubble, some of the players were essentially begging for play to stop so they could get some sleep. Others, such as Kristijonas Andrulis, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Jonathan Duhamel and Joao Vieira, wanted to play it out to the final table. Duhamel and Grospellier even joked at playing all the way to a winner, but somethings tells us they were kind of serious in that request.

Following the players barking back and forth what they wanted, the tournament director announced that a vote would be taken. One by one, the tournament director went around each table after instructing the players to take their seats and took a vote. The end result was in favor of stopping play for the night, eight to four. It was voted, though, that the level would be finished before ending play for the night, which means another 13 minutes and change.

Some of the players then asked what time they would be returning tomorrow for the final day and were informed 12:00 PM. Most were in agreement that they wanted to start later and asked for a 1:00 PM start, which they received.

Moral of the story is that the players are in the money, playing out until the end of the current level and then bagging up before returning to action tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
