De-Seived

Scott Seiver in the High Roller
Scott Seiver in the High Roller

Joao Vieira opened preflop to 8,000 from the button and Scott Seiver defended in the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Seiver check-raised Vieira's 13,000 continuation bet to 43,000. The Portuguese player made the call to see the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Seiver now bet 36,000 and again Vieira made the call as the pot began to swell.

The river was the {8-Clubs}, putting four to a straight on the board but Seiver continued his aggression, betting 80,000. Vieira tanked for several minutes before he eventually made the call.

Seiver flipped {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} but he could only bow and shake his head as Vieira turned over {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a rivered straight.

Adams Doubles Through Greenwood

On what looks to be among the toughest six-handed table I've ever seen (Jason Mercier, Bertrand Grospellier, Tobias Reinkemeier, Timothy Adams, Max Greenwood and Andrew Lichtenberger) Adams just doubled up through Greenwood.

Adams: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Greenwood: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board came {J-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs} to extract Adams from being the shortest stack on the table. He didn't have it all his own way though, Adams opened to 10,000 the next hand but folded when Greenwood shoved.
